There you go then. If Samsung Display make the panels, no doubt Sony will use them to offer more sizes on the A95L (I'm guessing that's what it'll be called).

I'll be reporting from the press conferences on Wed. Jan. 4th, which is the day before CES opens.

There have been some, um, "whispers" that next year's Sony TV line-up won't use the letter 'L'. Allegedly, Sony don't want to go too far into the alphabet, so they'll be called something different.

We'll find out soon enough!

To fix the lip sync we'd need to review your audio equipment and how you have it connected to your TV.

So I'm really regretting my decision to switch from the 55 inch Sony A95K to a 65 inch Samsung S95b.. The Samsung now has a buzzing sound/Coil Whine when the TV is off. I noticed a few people mention this previously, but only lasting 5 minutes or so after the TV is turned off. Mine is constant and must have buzzed for hours after turning it off last night. I checked my connection and nothing is loose. The Sony didn't have this problem, so it's probably not an issue with the power coming from my outlets. Picture Quality is great on both sets but the Sony does help clean up standard definition low quality content a bit more. Tizen on this TV is much worse than I anticipated. I wasn't expecting it to be that much worse than Tizen on my 2020 Frame.

My long review.

I've been waiting for something to come around that was really a huge jump in technology from my previous LG OLED. And there are now some great deals out there on the A95K 65in so I picked one up for far below the often seen $3000 sticker price. The packing was great and I had zero fingerprints on the screen.

My parents have a Sony A80K, which I helped adjust last year. The A80K was nice, but this TV is clearly at another level. This has a color richness I've never seen on a screen before. It just feels like a whole new technology. I also saw a Samsung QD-OLED S95B in person and I have to say it felt cartoonish in color, especially in red, while the Sony, looked far more realistic. Also this TV has noticeably the best near black I've seen.

Another thing I noticed was screen uniformity and reflections. There is a smoothness and sharpness to the screen that I've also never seen on any panel. Like a slight fuzz has been removed. As for reflections, my wife likes to watch TV with a lamp on and the reflections used to be horrible. While the Sony doesn't make them go away, it does reduce them greatly compared to the LG OLED. It reduces them about 60 percent and shifts the reflection angle a bit so its also easier for everyone at different angles.

As for motion, my Motion flow setting is on 1 and it feels noticeably a bit better than my old LG.

For sound, my LGSJ9 Atmos sound bar was easily detected and all my lip sync issues from my previous TV went away on both streaming and the rare occasional Dolby Vision disc. Dolby Atmos streaming works out great as well. I literally did almost nothing and the TV did all of the work. No second HDMI cable needed to be connected either. All of my externals work perfectly with just the eArc HDMI.

The Playstation 5 also connected perfectly and I made very minor adjustments to get the perfect settings.

I also use a USB/Ethernet converter to get wired near gigabit download speeds. around 950+

As for the few downsides of the TV.
1. A few minor OS bugs like, on one occasion it would not turn on unless I turned it on using the PS5 controller. Another example is a weird menu popped up on a UHD and I couldn't remove it unless I went down the suggested option controls.
2. There is some very slight stuttering/slowdown on Hulu. Maybe for a 1/2 second twice every hour. I've also seen this on Netflix. Blink and you will miss it, but Hulu seems to be more common. I'm going to do more adjusting on this to see what can be fixed.
3. It looks like there might be a very very slight green push in the very low level black and reds. I haven't really calibrated anything or used any detailed analysis so it could be nothing.

Above all this feels like the jump in technology I was waiting for and well worth the money spent. I can see why people were making such a fuss about this and I will continue tweaking a few things.

The motion is remarkable. I’ve likewise set it on 1 and it removes OLED stutter without introducing the sort of nasties my LG OLED did even at low motion settings.

Thank you Robert.
I've been tinkering and seem to have the lip sync pretty much 95% spot on with most sources. I'll report back if it rears it's head again.
Thanks again!

I just got this TV and the HDMI ports specs are really confusing. Does anyone knows for sure if all HDMI ports support TV led dolby vision? It seems that only the HDMI 3 port supports TV Led DV by the way is labeled. No mention of DV on any of the other ports. I did some searching but could not find anything concrete. Any help clarifying this is greatly appreciated!

I think they all may, but you have to go into the settings and enable DV.

Only ports 3 & 4 support 4k120/VRR, and you can't enable DV as well as those, maddeningly. I've had to put my console into a different port and eARC the audio rather than route through my AVR with everything else.
