Got my copy of the standard exclusive this morning. They had a stand upfront with several copies of the blu ray exclusive(neither of the store's two copies of the 4K version although they had plenty of the regular 4k) in it.

Mine had plenty of the standard blu-ray exclusives.

Nowhere was the 4K exclusive.
Walked back to electronics and got some Hot Wheels cars and was walking back and an employee was walking up with some exclusives in her hand. She asked which one I had and I said the blu-ray one. She said they only got 5 of the 4K exclusives in and was walking up to the front display I guess to put them there.

I passed on the 4K, not set up for that yet anyways. So no real need to spend $5 more.

My store had no 4K exclusives either. Two normal exclusives, that was it. Guess I'm ordering online and hoping it's not beat to hell when it arrives.

The 4K exclusive was clearly under-ordered in my area (all are showing only 1-3 copies remaining). Of the 4 copies I saw this morning at one location, 3 had spine slashes, and the fourth had a dimple on the back of the slipbox.

I went with the standard exclusive (my store shows 22 copies on-hand. Saw only 6 copies when the store opened; the rest are probably in the storeroom).

The Target I usually go to didn't have the 4K exclusve version on the floor (only the regular 4k, regular blu-ray and the Target exclusive. I had to ask a employee to check in the back. They didn't even know about it. Luckly, I they found me one but I don't know how many they got (according to the Target, they still have it in stock as of this post).

Had a friend pick up my order yesterday and it came with a spine slash. Finally received the one I pre ordered online months ago today and it came with a spine slash as well. Not sure if I was unlucky or if it was a common problem with this release.

Watch the video above, that copy also has a spine slash. You're not alone.

I'm thinking about returning my 4K or selling it. I'm not a fan of the slipbox. I was hoping for a slip over the book ala Alien Covenant or Logan.

Spine slash? What do you mean? I tried to watch the video and I don't know what you're referring to. This would have been a good set if it had a regular 4K slipcover at least. I'm not a fan of the slip box either. I do like the book though.

Edit: Are you referring to the white line that appears on the spine on the slipbox because mine was like that too but it was just the plastic wrap. Not saying that's the case for everyone, but mine was the plastic. The book is the only good thing about this exclusive.

That's odd but I'm not surprised. I feel like something happens during packaging or something. Spine slashes on steelbooks, spine slashes on slipboxes, and slashes on the inside of Digipacks apparently. I have a slight spine dent on my Infinity War Target Exclusive. This was inside. There was nothing on the slipcover, only on the actual Digipack spine. I had exchanged one due to scratched discs but both had that spine dent that looked like it could have been a slash if it had gotten more damaged. The replacement had a less obvious dent but it is still there. There was no dent on the slipcover, only on the digipack. I'll live with it but I wish this didn't happen on any of these exclusives.

There were 2 4k copies at my Target on release day and they both had spine slashes. I passed and got the regular version.

I bought the Blu-ray exclusive since it had the Cartwheel coupon for it. I've never seen the movie, but I really enjoyed the first one. I haven't opened it, yet.
