Saw “Comin at ya” for the first time and had a blast! I wish the transfer was nicer, but it’s more than serviceable and the film is such an oddity.

At its best, it has some of the nicest cinematography I’ve seen in a while and some really inventive 3D, some of it amazing and some not so much, (I’m thinking of the bat science in particular). The soundtrack is great too.....

Unfortunately the script is boring and the acting (at least the English dub) is atrocious, even by spaghetti western standards, but if you’re into Italian genre films, you’ll have a soft spot for this.

I’ve held out on watching this for so long because of the bad reviews, but I’m glad I’ve seen it and will be watching again. Recommended to anyone who likes strong 3D and/or bad spaghetti westerns. The only way I can think to describe this film is that it’s as good as it is bad!

Thanks for mentioning that. Never heard of it but on the eBay they mention getting some kind of "Cutting Edge" award from Sony 3D World. So I placed an order. Looks trashy but fun. I'm interested in what low budget, independent filmmakers do with 3D.

Hi unblinking

I read the same on many sites citing the 3D was great though the story and acting wasn't. But it could end up like a*p*e and be escapacist overall - some still found it enjoyable.

When watching a film that is really of poor script, acting, etc my enjoyment was due to the detail, depth and pop outs of it's 3D. Thus is the forgiveness of a 3D addict.

Guess we'll share our thoughts later on.

Just came across the title "Echo Planet" (aka Adventure Planet) from 2012 and the first animated 3d film from Thailand.

The story involves ecology with the planet in danger of destruction. Got high marks.

Per your recommendation, bought and watched Skyscraper. Liked the movie and the 3D was better than you led me to believe. I think you should watch again.

Hi Okie,

Already seen it twice. I found the 3D to be good but thought there were scenes that it could have been more dramatic.

But definitely a keeper. And glad you enjoyed it. I sent the digital copy to my brother.

A couple of times when he looked down from the top got my attention. next on my list is Ready Player One. I always wanted to have a brother, but all I got was a sister.

Yes, on disc it is in old-style anaglyph 3D with the coloured glasses.

Watched Revenge of the Creature for the the first time. I think it's a great sequel. The underwater photography and 3D are nice.

Yes it is. I think the 3D is better than in the original.

It's by far the worst movie and worst 3D of the series. Very flat conversion. Skip it or lower your expectations.
