Available only at Target, A Limited Edition 3-disc collector’s set that includes a Blu-ray bonus disc with over 70 minutes of special features including 30 minutes of exclusive content, available only at Target. Collectively these features give the fan detailed insight into the development of the movie’s characters and its amazing world of visual effects. Featuring a collectible package art, this set is a must have for any collector.

Release Date: September 10, 2013

So, essentially, the bonus disc thats 70 min is the one that will be available to all retailers...with only 30 minutes of exclusive content for Target. I think I'll stick with the 3D blu-ray.

Well Best Buy is suppose to be coming out with one too, with their own bonus disc. Interested to see what the difference will be and if they will have a cool and unique slipcover.

I'll stick with the steelbook. Somebody will eventually upload the bonus material to youtube.

People frequently say that, but I haven't really seen exclusive materials from Bonus Discs on the Internet.

Like I said in the main thread, the cover art would be a lot better if Spock was not the only one not facing right. It looks horribly imbalanced and ruins an otherwise decent to good layout.

It's stupid that no one, so far, is using the IMAX artwork with the Vengeance chasing the Enterprise at warp.

I don't like it. I'd prefer the poster with the Enterprise on fire, coming into earth's atmosphere.

Thumbs down

Is there six editions of this now? It's hard to pick which one, I want all the bonus discs but the steelbook. Why can't I just buy them all in one boxset! Lol

I know right! That has to be used for the Best Buy Edition. With so many editions out there and not one of them with the pursuit poster.

1) Standard 2D BD/DVD
2) Standard 3D BD/2D BD/DVD
3) Amazon 3D BD/2D BD/DVD phaser set
4) Target 2D BD/DVD with Bonus Disc
4) Walmart 3D BD/2D BD/DVD Steelbook with USS Vengeance

Not sure if Target will have a 3D set with the Bonus Disc. Also not sure what the Best Buy exclusives will be since Best Buy Canada has the Bonus Disc up north.

Future Shop's got a steelbook, but they don't have artwork yet, plus the three different UK steelbooks.

bestbuy.com says watch the movie and exclusive content instantly streaming from CinemaNow if you pre-order, so if I had to guess, I'd guess it'll be the Canadian disc contents but only available in the US streaming. They don't list any sort of exclusive on the site, atleast not yet.

Here in the UK, Sainsburys supermarket have an exclusive DVD with their release.
This is what I found on their website.
"Sainsbury's exclusive bonus DVD disc has a run time of 33 minutes and includes the following special features: The Voyage Begins... Again, Rebuilding the Enterprise, Vengeance is Coming, Me. Spock and Mr. Spock, Kirk and Spock, Visual Affection."

Seems pretty close in the running times for these exclusive discs!

Hopefully Target will have those Bonus Features in HD and not SD.

Do you get many bonus blurays? From what I have seen most bonus discs are DVDs.

Yes, that's true, but Target.com's item description refers to the adtl Bonus Features as being on a Blu-ray Disc.

Pre-ordered this version. Alternate cover is not that appealing, but I'll get the VAM.
