So it makes sense that it's quite light-weight.

This was also just the answer someone else on a private deals site got from Studio Canal. I didn't get it personally.

It was quite obvious already anyway considering the price (it's T2!). It may still look nice though. Quite weird that Studio Canal is selling it without showing it in video and also not publishing such information as well.

I mean less than 2 kg. I just bought Fullmetal Alchemist Ultimate Edition with a resin replica and the edition is around 8-10 kg (!). Or well the last Silent Hill figurine that I'm missing atm and that I just found on ebay and ordered. Those are all made by GECCO and those are top-notch and insane in detail and stunning and made out of a mix of ABS and PVC plastic (thus also light-weight). Both of those were around the price of that arm (not in total obviously lol).

Mind you though, most Silent Hill figures were quite cheap when they were released originally (around $60-$80). They could have been low quality, but they aren't.

see for example

I thought about getting it originally. After this answer I won't get it. I always wanted such an arm, but well I'm going to probably pay quite a bit more and get one of those non-plastic replicas.

I think ABS plastic can be very shiny, so in this case it may actually make sense. We will see. Maybe I will regret my decision.
Oh and ABS plastic is a better plastic than PVC

PVC tends to bend when getting too hot or getting too much pressure. ABS on the other hand doesn't bend, but prefers to break.

Zavvi had the 3D+4K+2D+CD endoarm bundle for awhile before it sold out, amazon.uk sold out within an hour of going live. The US set is super overpriced just for the 4k+2D imo.

thanks,
Studio Canal Blurays are always region locked. The UHD will of course be region free.
The only way it might be region free is if the different studios co-finance the same disc which will carry all their logos, jingles etc and play them back depending on the code of the player. Warner have done it with some of their dvd's where English notices appear on a R1 setting but if the player is R2 the text that appears is Japanese.
It's not an unknown thing but I think it highly unlikely and believe that different companies will want full control of the encoding and authoring of such an important property..... but you never know

I tried to convert the 1,34 kg weight to U.S. lbs. I come up with about 2 pounds, 15 ounces. A tad under 3 pounds.

Is this correct?

1 kg is ~ 2 pounds, so that sounds about right 😊

1# they had it up for sale shortly again today. Was able to snag a copy. For some weird reason the in stock notification email I enabled via the site came in after it went back out of stock so I wouldn't put too much faith in that notification tool.

#2 I also talked to a customer service rep via live chat on the site prior to it being available and he said they are expecting more stock by August 25th but to keep checking back in case that date gets moved up. Not 15 min after that chat I randomly did a refresh and bam it was in stock and I was able to place an order. I have a decent feeling Amazon.co.uk will be giving people more chances to get this.

#3 Zavvi on the other hand I have no clue if they will be getting more but they did have them when first announced and have since sold out.

I also noticed that the US version is being limited to 6000 units made. I didn't see any such limit on the UK version, or know if that's 6000 world wide etc. Anyone have any idea on that?
A moderator in the UK thread (BigNickUK?) wrote that the UK Endo arm was limited to 400. I don't know if it is true, but he appears to have info directly from distributers/manufacturers sometimes, so...
If it IS true, I understand why it sold out as quickly as it did!

I once kicked myself after I spent $400 for replica of the Golden Gun which I still have.

Today, there is one for sale on Bonanza for $4199.99

One never know how these things are going to end up. I just spent $147 at Best Buy for the Endoarm

For myself, I am refusing to buy the US endoarm for not containing the 3-D disk. I have the limited skull Skynet edition so if I don't end snagging an arm from the UK, oh well. I see there's a placeholder endoarm page on BRC for Germany. Is there a release planned there also or are they just getting the 3-D steelbook?

Does the American version contain the steelbook as it looks like a steelbook on the photo and does anyone know if the UK version will be numbered and have the signature I don't know which to get as I've got them both on order. I'd trade the 3D and music discs for a number and signature

The US is not a Steelbook, I don't think any of them are. We don't know if the UK one is numbered or has the signature, but i'm assuming the signature is just printed on as opposed to having been signed by Cameron.

I was excited when I heard about this but without 3D or soundtrack or anything besides the arm, this is an easy pass for me.

Consider that for the same price as the endoskeleton arm you could get an entire collection of awesome NECA T2 stuff like the ultimate T-800 / T-1000 / Sarah Connor / Die Cast Hunter Killer.

I haven't seen this set for sale in Canada yet. If it were actually available in Canada AND actually signed by Cameron AND it had the 3D blu-ray included, I'd get it!! To be honest though, I doubt it'll be hand-signed by Cameron so I just want a 4K/3D BR/blu-ray edition.

soo was messaging Digital Bits and this was response on signature " Also, it's not an actual Cameron signature, it's a reproduction." " I suspect he's too busy to sign so many sets." So there you go apparently Micheal Bay can do it but Cameron cant lol

no longer for sale on the amazon site does this mean it's sold out? I thought I had previously read the disc is being delayed and dates have been pushed back?

Any other links for a pre-order?
