Extras are pending. There have been plenty of Scream Factory releases that were stacked with extras despite not being labeled a "Collector's Edition". Often they just use the CE status to compete with pre-existing standard Blu-ray releases (like House of Wax and Dead Zone). This is the Blu debut for 8LF.

But 8LF is also a little film from the early days of DVD that has been all but forgotten. I wouldn't expect too many new extras.

I miss the IMDB boards, but the last few years they were up, many of the boards were just complete troll-fests filled with seething anger, vitriol and nonsense.

Eight Legged Freaks was always a favorite of mine...had it on DVD years ago. This will be a welcome addition to my collection! Has a that fun 'spirit' of a 50's - 60's sci-fi b-movie.

Be on the lookout for a young Scarlett Johansson!

Was literally saying to someone the other day that Eight Legged Freaks needs a Blu-Ray! I shall indeed be picking this up

I'd like to consider myself a sophisticated film fan. I can go on about Kurosawa and Tarkovsky and drive my friends nuts about some deep symbolism of some obscure film.

But, dammit, if I don't love a good ol' creature feature, especially one that doesn't take itself too seriously! I saw Eight Legged Freaks in the theater, and I had a blast. I had the old snap case DVD as well. But, that's long gone and I haven't seen this in probably over a decade. Can't wait to pick this up!

It won't happen but think of how wild it would be if they actually got Scarlett to do an interview for this.

Saw this on Scream Factory Facebook page yesterday and never seen this movie yet and so might get blind buy. David Arquette on the cover cracks me up

I was hoping for a collector's edition. Some new artwork would've cool. But I'll take it! Maybe it'll come with some new special features.

Yes! Just pre-ordered and I've been waiting for this one for years. I've rewatched the DVD recently and definitely would rather have the 1080p version. This is just a fun movie and my kids like it too. This along with Evolution would make a fun double feature.

Time to go back and visit Prosperity, Arizona!

I've had Eight Legged Freaks on DVD forever, and while I'm glad to see another Warner Brothers title from the early 2000's (seriously, not enough of them are being released on Blu-ray) actually getting a Blu-ray release, this movie for me just doesn't have rewatch value. Which doesn't make sense, because 90% of my all-time favorite movies are from 1993-2009.

Can't wait for this to release on blu. One of those hilariously dumb horror comedies, like re-animator or army of darkness. Hope the features or good as well as the transfer.

Those are a helluva lot better and more smarter than this, but yes, this is a fun one.

Would be funny if Scarlett Johansson did a commentary track for this movie

Only the other day I was looking to upgrade my DVD of this to Blu-ray and was shocked there were no Blu-ray releases anywhere... I'll still have to wait (and even then probably get ripped off if I'm impatient) and still hope for a UK release to follow but at least i's now on the horizon.
