I really hope I can attend next year's event again, I believe Robert was trying to get an OLED this year for it but no doubt there will be one there next year I'm sure.
Hopefully we'll meet face to face (I was at this years as well. I sat in the very back and had on the orange and white striped polo on Friday and was there Sat as well). Hopefully when next year's Panasonic's plasma line is out, I'll be able to get either the VT or ZT line.

Is it official that Panasonic is out of the plasma business soon for good and why?

At this time it is only rumors, its a money issue, not enough demand for the plasma flat panels.

Guys, does break-in DVD help get rid of image retention? There are video game images of HUD on my Kuro. I can see it on full white screen and semi-black screen as well. I've been watching some regular content to get rid it but it's still there.

Limiting video game use to two hours is ideal for plasma displays. If you use the Image Orbiter feature it will protect against future burn in. Image Orbiter “mode 2” works with any screen mode including DOT by DOT. For existing burn in use the the video pattern feature that helps alleviate after-image ghosts or burn-in. It takes one hour to run the video pattern and then the Pioneer plasmas will turn off to the standbye mode after one hour.

More information on these features can be found in the Pioneer operating manual.

It's official now and it's because of the same reason Sony and Pioneer left the PDP business. It's not profitable any more for them.

That looks like the HT I would put together "IF" I had the money, but I'd go with B&W 802's in the front and B&W 805's on the sides and rear.

JL Audio beats any SVS sub.

Any latest testing or comparisons on the Kuro's Film Mode and where it should be set for blu ray and DVD?

My bd player is the Pioneer Elite bdp-23FD which has the 'Source Direct' feature/option.

When watching blu ray (1080p/24) with my 23FD set to Source Direct I'm sending the 1080p/24 material untouched to my Kuro display. Where should the Kuro's Film Mode be sent to for best PQ? Off or Standard or Advanced?

Also, same goes with watching dvd's while my bd player is set to Source Direct. Where should the Kuro's Film Mode be sent to for 480i material?

For 1080p set it to advanced. Advance helps a bit with making motion smoother. Which is what I like. Dnice also sets this to advanced. But try it yourself. While the credits roll on movie switch between the modes and see the difference.

I dont think film mode workes woth anything else but 1080p sources.

Well I'm going ahead and getting my media room finally done.

Because of that, I'm replacing my 50" Kuro, with my 60" Panasonic ZT.

So the question now is, what to do with my Kuro. Obviously I could try selling it, but jo schmo isn't going to want to pay anything for it when he can just got to Walmart and get a TV for $200.

Not sure what to do.

If you're going to sell it, list it on AVS and perhaps Canuck Audio Mart as well...that way your potential buyer's market will be 99% non-J6Ps.

If it's a 5020 you might get 300 for it anyway. 5020 is worth about that much current market.

I'm having problems with my Pioneer Elite Kuro Pro-151FD.

The problem is the screen safety feature Auto Size-Wide Zoom is stuck in place and I can't deactivate it so the screen is constantly stretched. I turned off all the safety features and it still stays stuck in place. Any ideas?

Try doing a factory reset in the menu and unplugging the power cord for a minute.
