Anyway, I did NOT expect this to happen since Pam has been MIA since 2003. When I was doing stuff for BehindTheVoiceActors, I couldn’t even find a good picture of her aside from some photos from convention appearances in the late 90s/early 2000s on some ancient anime blogs that were still up. She had a VERY brief career at ADV in the late 90s (I think her only other role was a small part in Those Who Hunt Elves), and her voicing Kei in the features was also her “coming out of retirement.” Based on what she said in the video, it sounds like she and Jessica are still friends, which is how this happened. Still, it’s very cool to see her commitment to this character.
When I played my email video I immediately heard Kei when Pamela Lauer started talking, so happy!

I just look up the Kickstarter again the Dirty Pair: From Lovely Angels with Love ova is considered episodes 25 and 26 of the original series. so that’s getting dubbed as part of the original series new dub.

Honestly, I prefer Streamline’s dubs of the three features. They’re not as faithful, but they’re a lot more fun. ADV’s dub of the 10-episode OVA series was also a lot of fun, but their redubs of the three features, while very faithful, was pretty dry and bland in comparison.

I hope they consider redubbing the movies so there aren’t as dry and bland as the original adv dubs.

I know they get a lot of stick from anime fans, but I've always loved Streamline's dubs. The Lupin dubs they did are my favorite of all the casts, and I love the cheesy-on-propose dub they did for A Tale of Two Robots in Robot Carnival.

I think they’ve aged a lot better than most other dubs of the early 90s. They at least sound very professional with solid voice acting and scripts that flow very well. I love their dubs for Space Adventure Cobra and Wicked City, and Bob Bergen might be my favorite Lupin.

They really aren’t THAT bad, just a little mediocre compared to the other Dirty Pair dubs. They’re not bad enough to warrant dubbing them a third time. They’re pretty standard for average early 2000s anime dubs. If you want more “fun” dubs of those films, the Streamline dubs will still be on the discs. If you want some consistency, watch the ADV dubs. If both bother you, just watch in Japanese.

Wow, they had a little surge in pledges these last two days just to get the 5.1 audio stretch goal, I predicted it was going to take another 3 days yet to reach that mark.

I hope the next round of stretch goals include some more box or packaging upgrades, that is what I am most interested in.

What more can you do with packaging upgrades?

I want to see a Mughi plush toy somewhere in that stretch goal

All kinds of finishes or embossing on the box or slipcovers, for instance. I have no interest in on-disc extras or swag items, I want all the $$$ put into the discs and packaging.

Nope. From 6:25.
And this packaging preview shows only a cover sheet, not a slipcover. There'd be a second spine, like this.

The Special Edition of Gundam NT has one that holds the artbook and BD case.
