Thanks for clarifying. That makes sense.

In my situation, pressing the off/on button did nothing for about 20-30 seconds, but eventually turned itself off. Turning it back on manually, fully re-sets the movie back to the Main Menu.

Hope this helps.
Looks like Sony aren't in a hurry to address this issue. Info I've had from Umbrella is that Sony haven't responded to attempts to try and get it sorted out. What's really disappointing is that this problem doesn't occur with any other companies discs, either here or overseas. As much as I love Umbrella's releases, it's hard to buy them with confidence knowing that this might keep occurring. I don't believe the problem is caused by having a region modified player as others are using other brand players that have been modded and experienced no issues.

Orca has no problem in my PS4, Silver Bullet however does (same stutter issues). My PS4 is a non-pro version that I bought new last year (1TB gold version). Luckily I have two other players and Silver Bullet played fine in both of them, but this is something that should be fixed since many people only have a PS4 as their primary blu-ray viewing device. I also have other Umbrella titles and have no issues playing them in a PS4.

I have an unmodded PS4 non-pro version (1TB) that I purchased brand new last year and Silver Bullet plays funky on it (the video is not smooth and stutters, the audio is okay though). I tried it on my older Sony bdp-s380 (a circa 2011 one) player and it worked just fine. Also worked fine in my newer Philips BDP2105. So this is all some weird issue with newer Sony stuff apparently. I have several other Umbrella releases and haven't had any problems with them.

I've been advised Umbrella are still looking into this. Hopefully they'll have a resolution soon.

What is Umbrella's Hellraiser IV release like?
Came across a copy for $5 and was wondering if it was worthwhile.
They also had From Beyond, Day of the Dead (2 Disc) and a bunch of other Umbrella Blu-ray's. May have to go back.

I have it, not as good a scan as a competing version but has the best audio, depending on what matters most to you.

Another question... Does anyone actually know what Umbrella's 2 Disc Dawn of the Dead Blu-ray is actually worth (or what it goes for)?

It's a shitty transfer but has 5.1 audio. And if I remember correctly the end credits don't play completely through. I opted for the US release instead.

Umbrella's release of Hellraiser Bloodline has the worst dirt and print damage I've ever seen on a BD. At one point there's a gigantic splotch of dirt that takes up half a character's forehead on a close-up shot. It also lacks a shitload of fine detail compared to the US release.

Umbrella's doing one of their "tell us what you want to see released" surveys at the moment. Load them up with your wish list!

I remember Arrow fixed the problem with some of the animation disappearing during the opening credits that affected the original UK release...is this the same transfer?

I've seen it go for between 30 and 40 brand new, for memory.

It's out of print, but I don't think it's necessarily reached holy grail status quite yet.
