He certainly was, to be clear sad face was to the blu-ray being pushed back, the rest is regarding the theatrical rerelease. Which I was hoping would be wider.

Give it another couple of years - it'll be the 30th anniversary and Avatar 2 will still be on the James Cameron "To Do" list - he'll need something else to "convert" to pass the time.....

Titanic - to celebrate 100 years since the sinking.
T2 - 25th anniversary of release.

Kinda recall watching the Abyss back in the day cant remember much about it, but pretty sure I did enjoy it....

Anyone willing to bet the endo-arm only comes to this country via a JB Hi-FI competition?

Probably get the 4K not sure about 3D anymore as it seems to be on the way out, at least until Cameron releases Avatar sequels then it'll be all the rage again!

If you have 3d capable equipment and want 3d go with the 3d, don't let tv manufacturer trends or similar change your mind as they constantly change what "is best" based on what they think will make things sell in the next year.

Well, aren't most other countries' editions 4K/3D/BD combos? Aussie distributors seem to be attempting to milk customers even more than usual with the existence of three different disc types..

At least the standard BD won't just be a repackaged Skynet DNR mess. Hopefully it's loaded with extras too. I don't even care if it's all in SD, I still bloody regret getting rid of the old UE DVD.

Some are, but they also seem to be paying a premium for it. Personally with how the 3d looks here i'll never watch it in uhd anyway (unless god forbid I loose an eye or similar).

The only combo's I'm aware of are a couple of sets combined with the Endo-arm in the EU (150EUR, 120). I still thinking some of the Asia Region A countries may get one and hopefully one without the Arm, but so far Japan,Korea, and HK don't have a listing at all.

At least AUS gets the option of the 3D. US/Canada don't get that option at all in any forum. Given the high probability the EUR versions are likely to be Region locked from Lionsgate/Studio-canal, we are massively interested in whether the Sony/Universal AUS will be locked or not.
Huh? There's this one right here: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Termi...lu-ray/175891/ , but yeah in this case there seems to be a general lack of combo packs.

Unfortunate that 3DTV has stalled so badly, I'm willing to bet 3D would have a massive resurgence if someone made 3D-compatible 4K displays with passive glasses or none at all.

Didn't help with LG... Unfortunately.

Although I did read somewhere that one of the reasons they may have dropped it is because it limits the potential brightness of the panel, which is very important for OLED. So if that is in fact the case it could come back in the future. But I'm not keeping my hopes up.

The US T2 3d is pretty much hiding in the same cave as the AUS Pirates of the Caribbean 5/Salazar's Revenge 3D and the Pirates 5 4K UK disc
Might as well be that Russian salt mine where the cut footage from Event Horizon got dumped eh

They came too late, and were way to expensive for the masses which is a shame - I never really cared much for 3D at home until I got one. The blame lies with manufacturers and who ever allowed all the different standards.

I preordered the 3D version from Amazon UK back in June, Might as well just grab the Aussie version now that it's actually getting released here.
