Default Best PC speakers around $100?

I just got a new PC and am looking for the best speakers for around $100.

I just want something with 2 speakers (no sub - no room for it), preferably that just plug in. I donít care for Bluetooth as itís probably something I will have to charge.

Iíll be using them for general use: YouTube videos, Netflix time to time, and music.

I am looking forward to purchasing these - The Bose Companion 2 Series III - as they look pretty competent for what they offer. Compact form factor, no extraneous tweaking options (unless you really need those), two aux inputs (& a headphone output), they look like a great package for me. I haven't personally tested them myself yet, so if anyone else has experienced them or has a better suggestion than mine, feel free to contribute since I am kind of in the same situation as our friend maverick22.

Bose Companion 2 Series III (Amazon link): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CD1PTF0/?coliid=I37MT156BURGD3&colid=1UZN8GZYRWAV9&psc=1&r ef_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

Those are on my radar as well.

I think true audio enthusiasts may say stay away from Bose, but Bose products usually sound great to me considering their small form factor. I’m no audiophile though.

I think these were what Costco has on display even though the tag says Soundlink Mini 2 ($129.99). Not sure though.

Thanks for the reply!

I've got an older version of this model, which I've been happy with for years:

M-Audio AV42 powered speakers

Amazon's currently asking $150 for a pair, but I have seen sales on them before.

Here you can see them flanking stacked 27" monitors for a scale reference:

I'd go with the Edifiers at that price. If you can stand used, speakers drop hugely in value if they have a bit of normal wear and tear. In which case look out for Ruark MR1, Q Acoustics BT3, Kef Egg.

I'm not familiar with these. Awaiting more info from the user who is selling them. Thanks!

I'd buy Studio Monitors.

Tannoy 402s go on sale. I got a pair for prob $120-140. I like the 502s I have better, but 402s are way more than most people actually need.

They make the Bose mentioned sound like abosolute garbage. (I gave a pair of those to my Dad after someone gave them to me)
