Default Tracker for any new release on a given title?

I love the price tracker and the pre-release notifications, but is there any way to track a title for ANY new release associated with it?

For example, Bay of Blood. Currently, there aren't any North American releases in disc or digital form. I'd love to be able to watch for a new release of any kind (disc or digital).

Maybe this already exists and I don't know how to use it. If not, I think it would be an awesome thing to add.

Love the site! Thanks for all the hard work!

Excellent suggestion, working on this.

iceman, in reply to your question: "How would you like notifications btw? By email, in the app, or displayed on the site somehow?"

I would prefer email, but I would be grateful for any implementation you are able to provide. Thanks for the hard work and support. I appreciate it.

This would definitely be useful, especially if it's any release from any region (unless you want to add a site preference with checkboxes for "Notify me about wanted new releases from: All Countries, United States, United Kingdom... etc.

There could even be a preference for "Notify me about wanted new releases formats: All Formats, Blu-ray, DVD, iTunes, etc."

If necessary you could have a Notification preference for it so people could select Email, App, Site alert.

These settings would set your default preference.

Then there could simply be a Wanted button on the Movie page next to the Watched, Watchlist and Not Interested buttons.

This would serve as a good replacement to the placeholder listings for pre-order notification that's being discussed in the site improvements thread.

If the button opens an overlay window like the other buttons it could also show the individual notification settings with the default settings from above but allow you to change the settings for just that movie. So let's say your default is tell me about Blu-ray releases in the United States, but this movie you want to change it to All releases on any format from any region, you could deviate from your defaults.

I like your suggestions. I too was thinking about region options. I'll be happy with whatever implementation is provided because I know that it takes a lot of work and time. Good ideas though!

This has now been added. For now it's for all releases (physical and digital) and you will be notified by email once daily. It will work like a subscription, so you will continue to receive notifications for new releases for the selected titles but not any more reminders about the ones you've already been notified about. I added a bunch of notifications myself and this can most likely be a very appreciated/useful tool so we will probably extend it further

A Relases overview is now also displayed on the main movie page:

Neat addition!

I'm probably in the minority but I liked seeing the releases from other countries. Now that data is only accessible in the Movie #Releases view if you change your Blu-ray.com country search settings to "All Countries"

I certainly found this useful as well. These settings should have been kept separate - or at least add a 'view releases from all countries' button to the releases page.

See posts in https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=328527

I and others are finding it not really an improvement. Much preferred seeing all the releases without needing to change my search option and large thumbnails bulk up the list so much you lose easy at-a-glance views of what's available. Plus when viewing all there's no obvious separation between countries.

If the easy option is just switching back to the previous view, I'd prefer that.

Nice, although could you have to where it shows international releases when there aren't any US release? Also, with some films, it shows a wishlist entry instead of a release entry.

Examples:
https://www.blu-ray.com/Highlander-I...orcerer/87739/
https://www.blu-ray.com/Highlander-Endgame/114250/

In site preferences I have selected

"Display all Blu-ray/DVD/digital releases on the main movie overview. (Default no)."

Because of this the releases page shows nothing. https://www.blu-ray.com/Gladiator/21972/#Releases

Actaully all the tabs on the movie page don't work with that preference. Releases Reviews Cast crew Screenshots Movie Codes Products News Forum

I like having the new look on the overview pages and the classic look on the releases page.

Thanks!

Maybe a solution to keep placeholders/wishlist and bundle exclusive titles from showing on the overview page would be a checkbox for "placeholder/wishlist/included only in bundle"

On a side note, can someone make so that it shows all releases in the Releases section on default so that you don't have to keep clicking "Display all releases all countries" every time you go on there?
