Same goes for Part 6. The Tommy Jarvis character is so dull in general, I would guess a good amount of people going to see the sequels year after year just wanted more killings and didn't give it much thought for continuity. I don't know these later sequels as good as many of you, and I assume V and 6 both make it relatively clear this was the same kid from Part IV, but honestly, I think most viewers of the day just wanted to see more teens killed by Jason in each summer's new sequel. Tommy Jarvis' story arc? No way.

Of course, with home videos and such, where people can marathon all the films in a row all at once, I actually sort of respect the franchise for trying to connect the films. But when people mention the "Tommy Jarvis trilogy", it does sort of boggle my mind why anyone would care about his story.
Tommy Jarvis is the everyman, the hero that could be anybody, which is why people are drawn to him/like him. Also, he has a great storyline/arc and is one of the best things to come out of the F13 series.

John Shepherd was definitely the hotter Tommy.

Shirtless and having nightmares? Into it.

If I had to choose though I'd take both.

No, this is the problem in the movies today. Wannabe actors being cast in movies because of their looks, and not for their acting ability and skills. Acting is an art. Anybody can just stand there and look pretty in a movie for eye candy and memorize a few lines from a script. Whenever an actor or an actress can truly convince the audience to believe and make you feel they are really that character or a real person they're portraying, means that they are a good actor.

If we're talking shirtless and having nightmares, the real winner here is Mark Patton in NOES 2

Of course you completely ignored the second sentence in order to make a nonexistent point.

About 2 days. They are only allowed to send someone to their office to send replacements once every 2 weeks.

Noticed in the review for the third film, the writer says The film was originally released to theaters using the old anaglyph technique. I was always told the film was released theatrically the way it's presented on disc, with the anaglyph version just being a creation for the prior home video releases.

After sending them photos of the damaged set, DeepDiscount offered me a refund of 10% for the damage. I told them that isn't a lot and they were able to offer 15% on Friday. Since it's on backorder for the time being, I told them that would be fine.

Today they e-mailed me again asking for photos of the damage. I sent them the photos again and asked why they needed them when I already sent them the first time they requested. If they don't resolve it within the next few days I'm going to file a PayPal dispute.

This was my first order on DeepDiscount, and based on this transaction, it's certainly my last.

I would love to meet slimdude just to see what he's like in real life? Does he act like this on the forum to be a troll or does he genuinely believe the things he says? He's said wild, incorrect, and sometimes homophobic things here and I'm always confused as to why he's posting here.

Well, I guess the reviewer didn't notice part 6's color correction or else they woulda mentioned it.

I may like it more if it didn't look so ridiculously cheap. It looks like one of those no-budget no-talent scifi original movies.

Imagine if it had the same production value as the movie Alien. That would have been WILD! (JX had a bigger budget than Alien FYI....possibly up to twice as big).

Hell, I would have been happy if it had the same production value as Parts 1-8. JX doesn't even look theatrical. It looks made-for-TV as hell (in the worst way possible).

He says in the review of the boxset that he didn't own the 2013 set so it makes sense he wouldn't know.

From this site's review of PART 3:

"Friday the 13th Part III's Blu-ray disc includes both a 2-D picture and a 3-D presentation. The film was originally released to theaters using the old anaglyph technique, which is how Paramount released the film prior..."

Uhm, NO. FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 3 was NOT released theatrically in "anaglyph" 3-D like the old Blu-ray.
