Thumbs up DC Animated Universe Thread

What's your favourite DC Animated Show or Movie? Is there a graphic novel that DC has published that you wanna se made into a movie?

For me it would be War of Light or anything Lobo has been in!

Red Son is the big one for me.

Do they have the rights to do a Swamp Thing feature? If so the Alan Moore run in however many parts they feel that would take.

My favorite DC show is Batman - "Mask Of The Phantasm". Still waiting for that one on blu. The one I would want to see made the most would be an anthology of the 3 Legends of the Dark Knight Halloween specials by Loeb & Sale.

BATMAN THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS by a large margin, with THE BATMAN/SUPERMAN MOVIE: WORLD'S FINEST coming in second.

I would love a Kingdom Come animated film. I didn't read the graphic novel until I was an adult and it really resonated with why I had lost interest with comics as a young man. Too many edgey, dark and gritty antiheroes.
[Show spoiler]Superman coming out of retirement to put them in check was such a great concept. Plus Supes and WW ending up together is the perfect scenario.
. It would be interesting to see how they could pay homage to Alex Ross's art.

"Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow." But they wouldn't get it right, they'd give everyone a smartphone and have some douche from a flavor-of-the-month tv show as Superman.

I noticed they changed the name of this direct-to-video film series again.

From the beginning, these movies were labeled under the banner DC Universe Animated Original Movie. Then for only one film, Superman vs. The Elite, it was labelled as a DC Comics Premiere Movie. It then went back to DC Universe Animated Original Movie with the very next film, Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, but soon after with Justice League: War, it changed to DC Universe Original Movie, dropping "Animated" from the label's name. Now, with Batman: Gotham by Gaslight, the label has changed again dropping the word "Original" from it, simply making it a DC Universe Movie.

Just an observation.

I think the use of the word "Universe" tends to sound like all the films are set within the same continuity, so I always thought the best name for the series would have just been a DC Animated Movie.

I used to want Kingdom Come, but if they can't do Mike Mignola, I would never expect them to animate Alex Ross properly, so I'd rather they just not touch it. They'd probably need to do rotoscopic techniques to do it any justice.

Think my favorite DC Animated Movie thus far is Under the Red Hood with Flashpoint Paradox as a close second. Then depending on the day Justice League vs Teen Titans or Return of the Joker after that.
Honestly I don't think there's one I don't like (so far), but then again I also enjoyed most of the New 52 comics so... .

Lot of excellent suggestions already listed that I completely agree with.
Kingdom Come and Red Son being my big two, but also wouldn't mind any of the Earth One stuff (especially Batman/Superman... can pass on Teen Titans though.)

My own personal addition would be... well honestly wouldn't mind some Batman Beyond love with Futures End, but above all else:

I’d love to see Superman: Speeding Bullets done with the voice cast of Superman: The Animated Series.
