USA Tropical Heat: The Complete Series

I came across this new DVD release of series Tropical Heat by accident a few weeks ago while checking out another TV series on Deep Discount. It's by Mill Creek, so based on past history they will have packed too many episodes onto the discs. Did this have a previous DVD release in the States? Below is front cover artwork for the Mill Creek release, along with the Amazon.com listing page link:

Still waiting for a complete series release of Silk Stalkings, but this release may do for now.

The series was released one other time in the states that I'm aware of, probably around 2005 or 2006. A crappy company called TANGO I think, they crammed all 66 episodes on 8 or 9 discs. Of course Mill Creek will put too many episodes to a disc, but at least this release spreads the 66 over 11 DVDs, and a 12th disc for the cut together movie. I'm 100% positive the "movie" will look the best since it's the only thing on the last disc.

Would be curious to know if the Mill Creek release of Tropical Heat is an improvement visually from the Tango release. The Tango release did some awful video compression so the image quality wasn't good. Have no idea if Mill Creek has improved this at all.

If anyone can offer some insight on this, I'd be interested to know.

I wonder if Mill Creek would consider HD'ing this for a bluray release down the road. It certainly could benefit from it, and the show does have a rather cult-ish following.
