It is just mind-boggling. It would be fine without the posterization, but they had to go out of their way (not by MUCH) to make it horrible.

But this year is already the 35th anniversary. Why wait another five years when you are already in an anniversary year?

No, I mean the 4k's will be released for the 40th anniversary, they want to keep you buying time after time.

I already own Ferris on Blu-Ray, and I wouldn't purchase it again unless they reinstated Hughes' old commentary from the original DVD release and maybe did a remaster. Some Kind of Wonderful I have on the Collector's Edition DVD. Looks like the same master from over a decade ago, but it might be worth upgrading for a decent price. I agree the stylized artwork for that steelbook isn't great, but it's a nice touch that they're giving it a steelbook, regardless. All other John Hughes movies I have are also just on DVD, and I haven't watched many of them in a long, long time. So, I might grab these up.

Does anyone know if this is the same content as Paramount Presents (Pretty in Pink) or the John Hughes: 5-Movie Collection?

Doesn't look like these editions have anything new. I'll grab Some Kind of Wonderful even though I don't prefer steelbooks.
