Default Jupiter's Legacy (Netflix)

Here is the first teaser trailer for Netflix's Jupiter's Legacy, which will debut on the streamer on May 7, 2021. After nearly a century of keeping mankind safe, the world's first generation of superheroes must look to their children to continue the legacy. But tensions rise as the young superheroes, hungry to prove their worth, struggle to live up to their parents' legendary public reputations — and exacting personal standards. Based on the graphic novels by Mark Millar and Frank Quitely, Jupiter's Legacy is an epic superhero drama that spans decades and navigates the complex dynamics of family, power, and loyalty.

When I saw the thread title, I thought it was a sequel to Jupiter Ascending.

Thank goodness it isnt.

As for how it looks....kind of Power-Rangers-ish. Maybe thats the intent though?

I always like how they show artwork transforming into the actual characters in a show as that Official First Look YouTube Video illustrates. It has me hoping its good.

The outfits look great, especially the white one. I'll definitely check it out. Hopefully better than Umbrella Academy.

Has anyone read these comics? I'm just not getting any interest from that trailer.

I like Mark Millar but I think this looks rather generic and I’ll be shocked if it manages to take off (I know Netflix has it’s ways, but still...).

The trailer was convoluted and messy. I had no idea what the story premise is or barely who everyone is. Hopefully, the show will be easier to follow

looks like a watered down version of Amazon's The Boys with the CW DC beats that's like a musicians music that doesn't evolve in sound and remains bland.....

Anybody watch Jupiter's Legacy yet?

I kind of feel bad for this show. It's getting hit hard by reviewers and of course it appears to be too derivative at this point in time, after having so many other superhero movies and shows to compare it to already. At least Invincible (which is great, btw) has the advantage of being separated from the rest by being animated and extremely violent. I was curious about Jupiter's Legacy, but it honestly doesn't look all that great, and I'm trying to be more selective about what I spend my money and time on, especially when it comes to superheroes, because I feel like the whole genre is hitting a saturation point and the best is behind us.

I'm watching it. It's like The Boys only not hard-R and less humor. I'm not bored by it, but they are treading familiar territory.

One aspect that could be interesting depending on where they go with it is a superhero who is very vocal about not killing at any cost. Bad guy kills three supers and is about to wipe out half the town with an energy blast and the superhero still would rather subdue him than just end it.
