I was wondering about an international release as well. If not I guess I'll just use Amazon Japan. Just started collecting the NeoGeo minis.

Famitsu Interview w/ Sega Toys team Shimokawa-san & Aoji-san

-The display is 800x480, 24bit color
-Games will display at their original aspect ratio (not stretched/zoomed to 16x9)
-Vertical orientation may be included (Aoji-san says “it’s a secret”)
-HDMI out is 720p (already announced)
-Stereo speakers
-Planning started 2 years ago for a Sega 60th anniversary release
-They started w/ 64 titles
-Sega Toys previously helped w/ MD mini & GG mini

No word yet on who is providing the emulation (in-house, M2, other dev?)

Not sure if all games will be Sega or if 3rd party games running on Sega published by Sega or hardware are potentially included.

I’m hoping they add hidden games to bump up the list, even if it is just a variant (i.e., Virtua Fighter Remix hidden on the selection for VF).

So much potential in this and i have faith SEGA will do it well given the Mega Drive mini. Personally, i thought a Mega Drive II mini might be released some many popular key SEGA titles + those from third party publishers that could be included.
But this seems great Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder amazing, Virtua Fighter great and i'm all in for Alien Storm the Mega Drive port was great but very different from the arcade orignial.
I'm actually really looking forward to Dark Edge as i've never played it being completely honest, i didn't even know it existed.
All the announced games are great hopefully some of the company's magic driving titles will be included. The mini control pad show looks great so a mini wheel for two or three driving titles would be awesome.

I was thinking it would be very Sega to release an accessory steering wheel that would unlock/enable some arcade racers like Outrunners, Sega Super GT, and Rad Mobile.

Well it looks like Sega is releasing a similar device to what this user made last year, presumably minus the Raspberry Pi and Capcom games. The screen rotates, I guess this is how we will play vertical stg. Also, it really looks tiny! @AeroK, does this seem to be comparable in size the the NeoGeo mini? I never picked one up, couldn’t decide which version had the lineup I liked best.

Sorry for the late reply, but it looks slightly larger than the NeoGeo mini to me. The screen also looks larger than the NeoGeo mini. I feel like the international version has a better variety in its lineup than the jp version. They have different molds between them as well.

I'd love some driving titles unfortunately, SEGA GT will be impossible due to the licensing of the four cars. This has been the reason while often requested it never had a home port.
Outrunners could be possible as i don't think it uses the Ferrari brand?
Rad Mobile should be ok and nice to play a perfect port.
I'd like to see a perfect port of Manx TT which would be great and despite the name i don't think any licensing issues would pose a problem. If indeed SEGA included this game they could also add Motor Raid which was a conversion kit and a very different game (i've never played but looks like its decent fun).
Any idea when they announce the full list of games?

I cannot wait for this lil fella. I'm excited to see what the remaining games list is dropped. This is a def preorder. I like the idea of a steering wheel and Super GT, Rad Mobile, Rally and other racing games. And Isle of Man would make my heart drop, but I don't see it happening.

Updated the main post with 13 titles revealed today via Dengeki PS Live. Not surprised to see some of them, they seem very popular in Japan and have been re-released repeatedly. Kind of sucks though, it would be nice if the sequels didn't count against the 36 titles, especially when we have yet another Neo-Geo home release (MVSX), this time w/ 50 games and both MVS/AES versions included. I bet Puyo Puyo 2 is in the next batch since that seems to get a lot of hype overseas, I'd rather see Puyo Puyo Sun and a bunch of other ST-V games like Radiant Silvergun so we can actually use all six buttons, but that's just me.

Really happy about Cotton and Shadow Dancer!

All 36 titles have been announced, here is the list alphabetically:
  1. Alex Kidd with Stella: The Lost Stars
  2. Alien Storm
  3. Alien Syndrome
  4. Altered Beast
  5. Arabian Fight
  6. Bonanza Bros.
  7. Columns
  8. Columns II
  9. Cotton
  10. Crack Down
  11. Cyber Police ESWAT
  12. Dark Edge
  13. Fantasy Zone
  14. Flicky
  15. Gain Ground
  16. Golden Axe
  17. Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder
  18. Ninja Princess
  19. Puyo Puyo
  20. Puyo Puyo Tsu
  21. Puzzle & Action Tanto-R
  22. Puzzle & Action Ichidant-R
  23. Quartet 2
  24. Rad Mobile
  25. Scramble Spirits
  26. Seishun Scandal (My Hero)
  27. Shadow Dancer
  28. Shinobi
  29. Sonic Boom
  30. Space Harrier
  31. Stack Columns
  32. Thunder Force AC
  33. Virtua Fighter
  34. Wonderboy
  35. Wonderboy in Monster Land
  36. Wonderboy III: Monster Lair

Nice to see Rad Mobile and Space Harrier, makes me wonder if there will be analog control. I couldn't find a purchase link for the arcade stick, maybe in a few days.

I hope Sega has some surprises in store, hidden games or a bigger lineup (60 games for the 60th anniversary?). There was no doubt Puyo Tsu would be included, but three versions of Columns? Too bad the third version isn't Hanagumi Taisen Columns, would've been more interesting than Stack Columns.

Here is the Famitsu Live event where Sega/Sega Toys reveal the final batch and demonstrate the system:

I was able to order through Limited Run. I was planning to go through Amazon Jp at some point, I think itís slightly cheaper but it will be cool to have the English packaging since Iím guessing there will be fewer made.

I ordered it. When do you think it will ship? All that it says is that it's "on hand", but a week later it hasn't shipped.
