Lose it in a good way or a bad way? Pitts is supposed to be the best TE prospect ever.

Yeah, I just don't feel comfortable taking a TE in the first round, let alone the top 5 when we have so many other needs and one of the worst lines in the league. Burrow already had a horrific knee injury. We let Whitworth and Zeitler walk in the same offseason and the line went from top 5 to bottom 5 and has stayed there ever since. A weapon would be great but they need to protect their franchise QB.

Pitts is gonna be a better player than every QB taken in the first round except maybe Lawrence.

I would've loved for Philly to stay at #6 to take him but I kinda have to give Howie Roseman credit: I think he knew Pitts would likely be gone by then, so it'd be better to trade down and get more picks. We're rebuilding; we're way more than just a player or two away from contending.

And speaking of which, The Athletic's story yesterday about the Philly dysfunction was... ugh. Felt like reading a WFT story with Eagles names in it lol

No doubt Pitts is special but for the Bengals specifically, I think the top and really only priority right now should be protecting Burrow and not letting what happened to him happen again.

TEs typically take time to develop. Pitts has all the tools to be a special player, but hes also only 20 years old.

The problem is not Pitts; the problem is Burrow has little protection to be even throw the ball to him.

True but pure value wise Pitts is the second best prospect in this draft only behind Lawrence.

I wonder how much of that is guaranteed. Seems a bit steep for a player with a history of injuries and taking plays off.

Per Albert Breer, the 2021 schedule will be released AFTER the draft.
