ok il put it a different way the new re release is actually better without the blu ray banner so that drops the value of the original and dont recal the original as 2 disc edition

I'm not sure if it will drop the value of the original, since there are always collectors that want the original no matter how the re print looks like.
I never owned the original and was glad for the re print so I bought it.
However I have the original The Dark Knight and also bought the re print and to tell you the truth, they both look nice, although the original one is shiny while the new one has a different feel to it and it does not get finger prints stuck to it.

Memento Steelbook is going to be hard to find. Get it when you still can.
It looks like Amazon sold out this one now.

It already dropped the original IAM Price to under 100$

Good Luck....paying 50$ for a "rare" Steelbook is not much. Trust me.

I personally like Embossed/Debossed Steelbooks like:

Death Race (G2 size)
1408 (GER)
The Book of Eli (GER)
Wanted (G2, GER)
Iron Man (FS, CA)
Iron Man 2 (Asia)
That is exactly how I feel. I love the embossed and debossed. If you get a chance to get the new Resident Evil Trilogy from Korea. It is really badass. I think I like it more than my Wanted steel.

"Rare" only has to do with the quantity manufactured.

"Hard to Find", "Expensive", has nothing to do with "Rarity".

One of the most sought after, most desirable blu-ray steelbooks to date is the Futureshop "Iron Man". It was never "Rare", thousands were manufactured. Now, hard to find in it's original mint/sealed condition, and rightfully expensive. Most people hang onto these beauties. So it is hard to find one for sale.

I think this thread is about "what are the most sought after, desirable, and hardest to find (for sale)" blu-ray steelbooks.

the metropolitan area i live in, covering two states only got ten copies in, and they were all "sold" in-store pickups.
