Yep. The final bid was a lot higher than even I expected though. It was at $36 in the last minute when I placed my bid. My one and only bid was very high just 'in case' but I was really expecting to take it for less than $50. I didn't think someone was crazy enough to put another bid that high in during the last 5 seconds. lol. Somebody bid $176 in the final five seconds. Only I'm crazy enough to jump huge amounts like that most of the time but this time overbidding caught up with me.

The picture quality for Goonies is pretty good IMO, I agree with the review. It is definitely worth picking up if you enjoy the film.

Can anyone tell me if lego Star Wars Padwan is worth buying. I really like the exclusive slip box and all but not sure on Lego Star Wars as a movie.

I don't know if anyone has ever noticed this, but the Target exclusive Madagascar 2 has been available from Targets website at $29.99 since it was first released. Too bad they don't have the other two. I really regret not picking those up when I had them in my hand!

I'm glad Dreamgirls is impossible to find. If it was common, like many slips I own, I simply wouldn't want it.
And you call yourself a true collector

Very much a Star Wars fan. I've recently decided to go ahead and buy Clone wars series (I'll wait for a cheap set) so at $15, Padwan seems alright.

I don't know Al, I don't like when they reprint 'slipcovers'. Takes away from looking around and finding the originals, or picking them up on release day. I prefer the studios use a single slipcover design to denote each printing/release that they do. If they release a title, like Disney did with several this year, use a different slipcover design.

I don't see nothing wrong with reprinting slipcovers or re-issuing them. I'm pretty sure if (and that's a big IF) Paramount ever re-release Dreamgirls with gold slip it will have a different serial number on the back of the slip compared to the one on the original release. So that's the only way you can tell if it's the original or not. I'll be happy to have the one with re-release serial number.

If they were to re-release the movie, I'd rather see them do it without a slip or a completely different one.

I agree completely, like what Disney has done recently. And I actually like the new Disney re-release slips.

Thanks- I loved the film as a kid but I'm almost afraid to watch it now in case I'm disappointed and my fond memories will be ruined
I'll pick it up eventually- it didn't come with a slip- the only good thing about blus being released slipless I suppose is you can wait and wait until they're practically giving it away for nothing

Has anyone actually seen a slipcover for next week's release, 'Footloose'? The mockups look like a slip, but I just saw 5 copies fresh from the distributor's delivery and they are slipless. However, they do come with a $7.50 voucher for the re-release movie in theaters.

It's a shame Paramount didn't release any gold slipcovers this year. And I have a feeling they won't release any next year.

I would like to know as well. The last title to be in the Sapphire Series was American Beauty. That was a year ago.
