I wish the US got one too I don't really want to get into Canadian slips since that would be even more to get but this is one I had to get

This is why I try to stay away from importing slipcovers. If I start getting collecting imports then I what more and gets very expensive.

Apocalypse Now & Scarface Nordic Releases with English language on cover and slip. Gonna sell the movies and keep the slips since I already have the Apocalypse Now Us Box Set and will pick up the Scarface Steelbook.

Took a trip across the border to Canada yesterday...

Needless to say, I'm quite pleased. Not sure if I will keep the "Limitless" slip or not since I hate that the spine is backwards, plus I only import when the U.S. release doesn't have a slip of its own. Couldn't find the lenticular "Memento" but in the meantime, this release of it will do.

Also found Canadian slips for "Chocolat," "Bridget Jones' Diary," and "The Motorcycle Diaries" but I didn't have interest in them really.

Damn, I was expecting the 3D Conan slip to be lenticular or embossed. Come on Lionsgate, you can do better than that.

I was short on money so I had to pass on slips for "The Crow," "Bad Lieutenant," "Cop Out," "Eternal Sunshine," "Insidious," "The Others," "The Way Back," "Pirahna," and "Wedding Crashers."

Going back in December though. Going to try and get some more then.

I was most excited about finding THREE of the Canadian lenticulars. Bummed I didn't find more, but three was awesome.

They're all in pretty good shape, too. Might have to do a little touch-up work on some of them with a sharpie, but that's it.

Those Alliance combo banners

Yeah, weird how Alliance flipped the spine on Limitless. But I would display it front facing forward so it wouldn't bother me

Which Canadian retailers did you pick those lenticular slipcovers from?

Back around 98-00 there was a small indy shop that sold the Anchor Bay limited edition dvds via Ebay at fairly cheap prices. Almost all my dvds back then came from Canada due to their pricing being so much better if you ordered a lot at one time. That is, until I started having stuff seized, lost, stolen, or damaged by the border patrol.

I might pick a few of them up in the future, but only if I really like them. I feel the same way about the steel books. Too much headache keeping track of everything.

I would love to get into imports but it's just too damn expensive. Some of those German steelbooks look really nice. Some French slipcovers look mighty appealing too.
