The Dark Knight and Inception had similar release dates.

So sad that we have to wait that long for the BD.

I'd love for them to remix the soundtrack on this because it's deafening at points. Also, for the eventual trilogy release, I'd love to see the Bat symbol used in TDKR used for the cover art.

Since when did this site become a source? Has WB released this date?

And we certainly don't need another The Dark Knight Rises thread.

Well, as someone who saw a regular showing, you're not the only who had difficulties trying to comprehend what he was saying. That probably was one of the very few minor nit-picks I had with this movie.

I'm hoping to see the IMAX version in a couple of weeks, as I've already seen the regular digital 2.35 version twice. I think the final tally of footage shot and used in IMAX was 72 minutes, or 44% of the movie. Can't wait to see it!

Meanwhile, I'm sure the blu-ray will follow the same style of TDK back in '08, with the switching ratio.

I hope so. TDK is an awesome Blu-Ray, flaws and all.

It could be, but I don't think Warner Bros has confirmed that yet, have they? I just remember seeing a new thread exactly like this getting moved because the date wasn't really confirmed yet. It probably is 12/07/2012 though.

It's not exactly confirmed yet, but it's what's being reported.

December 7 is a Friday, which seems a bit odd. Warner usually sticks to Tuesdays and isn't in the habit of picking "stunt" release dates (such as Twilight or the DreamWorks Animation movies being released on Saturdays).

I understand, but it seems to me like this would be a first. It's a very high-profile release, especially on a work/school day.
