I'm not really getting the white-wearing cult. There has to be someone behind it. Cults don't just form out of thin air, they need a charismatic leader - ex. David Koresh, L. Ron Hubbard, Jesus, Jim Jones, etc. Maybe they'll reveal a leader at some point in the future but right now I'm not getting it.

In a way, that's what makes them so intriguing for me. As I said before, they appear to be just a bunch of nihilists, but at the same time seem to have a very specific agenda.

At least we know that the dog-killer is real, and not just a figment of the Sheriff's imagination.

"I knew I shouldn't have told you to watch the fückin' Wire" had me laughing my ass off.

I've been DVRing this but haven't had a chance to watch yet. Any opinions? Good or bad? Is it worth it?

It's a very polarizing show. Every forum I've looked have seem to have half who love it and half who absolutely despise it. After two episodes I'm leaning toward the latter side. I just find is boring, with stale superficial characters who have practically no chemistry on screen. Probably going to give it 1-2 more episodes before giving up on the show. It really don't seem the kind of show that will have a long lifespan.

I'm in the middle, I don't particularly like it so far but there is enough there to keep me watching. Kinda how I felt about the first season of Under The Dome.

Thematically there's definitely some similarities, but I thought the first season of Under the Dome was awful. I think The Leftovers has been really good so far, and while there's still the possibility that it falls apart, nothing could possibly reduce the acting or visuals to Under the Dome's level.

Absolutely brilliant and relentlessly full of win. Hells Best Offer does it again. This will be priority viewing for me over Masters of Sex on sundays.

Agreed. I ALMOST gave up on the show after the first two mediocre episodes, but episode 3 was terrific. The Reverend is by far the most interesting character on the series. Problem with the first two episodes was they tried to cram way too much in. The third episode was more character driven. If they continue the series like episode 3 I'll definitely keep watching.

That gambling scene was intense. I knew something like that would happen in the parking lot.

Don't care for the show, but I still watch it after True Blood because I'm curious to see if it'll get better. The third episode was a minor improvement over the first two. I liked the trippy dream stuff. That was a really small role to give Janel Moloney, though.

I'm really liking it so far. I didn't watch LOST so I don't have the same resentment towards Lindelof that some may have (I did see the god-awful PROMETHEUS but I lay the blame for that as much at Ridley Scott's feet as his) but I'm not going to get involved in the speculation game and just let it happen.

I think they've made a lot of very interesting choices and I'm surprised how compelling I'm finding it. Another texture in the TV landscape: This really is a Golden Age for US TV drama that shames most UK output.

Episode 3 was indeed really good. It was actually a better follow up to the Pilot episode.

Christopher Eccleston was pretty much the main character and I think he did a terrific job. This episode almost felt like an episode of The Outer Limits. The character was going through a really horrible week.
