Supergirl was too preachy that's one thing that hurt the show.

S2 was the its so hard being a lesbian story line with Alex and her girlfriend my god that was the biggest slog to get through

S3 was Reign and her mommy daughter issues.

After that I checked out.

The only good things to come out of Supergirl was David Harewood's Martian Manhunter Tyler Hochlen's Superman and Jon Cryer's Lex Luthor

That's why I had to drop Legends! Damn near every episode was one of the characters clutching at their pearls because as it turns out people in the past weren't all cultured and modern and stuff.

Legends is my favorite show I don't consider it preachy at all.

I didn't mind the Alex/Maggie stuff, but given they break up in S3 (shortly before getting married) the story felt like a waste.

Good. I stopped watching after her costume change and after it became excessively "woke". Plus, all shows should be limited to six seasons or less.

Not all shows, One Piece for example is almost 1000 episodes long and still hitting its stride.

This is the ONLY thing that could get me to check out an upcoming episode in the final season. She was the best character that ever appeared on the show - back when it was fun, before it became Social Justice Girl.

I agree on this one. Legends is the only one of these shows I am still watching - in fact I am catching up on last season this week and really loving it.

The difference between them is that Legends is still a fun show that has stuck to its original premise. Sure, there is diversity (racial, sexual, etc.), which to any reasonable person is great - but it hasn't entirely taken over the show, and the entire thing hasn't just become about SJW-virtue signaling, going off the deep end the way that Supergirl did.

I thought it was weird they took away Supergirl's skirt, then gave Stargirl a belly shirt.

Anyway, I've picked up the sets on various Black Fridays, and will watch them eventually. I never really thought it would get that many seasons.

DC Universe wanted to be as comic-accurate as possible. CW just wants to get preachy about equality.

Though to be fair, I wouldn't be too happy about wearing a skirt in the Vancouver winter rain/snow especially at night lol Stargirl filmed in the spring/summer in Atlanta.

I'm still watching it, but it's not getting any better. I didn't walk away because I had been watching from the beginning and bought the BDs, so I have invested my time and money in it. That being said, the show isn't as cringe as Batwoman is, though it still has a lot of those moments.

I'll get there eventually, but the show declined in quality a lot the last couple of seasons. Like other shows (Flash for example), it got stuffed with too many characters and subplots which weren't well done.

Same. I started watching when I heard a Flash crossover was happening and have been watching since... I haven't watched the two new episodes yet though, I stopped buying the Arrowverse shows when Black Lightning got dropped and then they finally started releasing again those so on Black Friday I had to go back and buy all the shows I'd missed over the past 2 years and have been slowly working my way through watching those sets (plus the year before it because I also stopped watching when I thought I wouldn't need to keep buying lol) and I just finished season 4 and it was real bad. Aka the "everybody lies to Lena and she has a hard time trusting people and would feel betrayed if I told her after so long, so you know what, I'ma keep lying to her even longer!" season.

I'll be done with season 5 before episode 4 probably.

Wow, that video pretty much nails it and it's the same issues that has crept into just about all shows at the moment

I watched the show from the very beginning and if you ignore that Kara is nothing like the character from the comics (I completely agree with the guy from the YouTube video above), the show’s first couple seasons were good with occasional glimpses of greatness. It’s towards the end of season three that it started to dip into the not-so-good. Nowadays, it’s too much like the last few seasons of The Flash—way too much emphasis on soap opera-ish romance and touchy-feely stuff.
