We were talking about the pronunciation of food, not food itself.

Scarface, what is it like seeing New York portrayed in movies and TV shows? Does it feel odd to see your own city on the big screen?

Depends on the movie. Mostly I'm fine with it, but I hate the ones that portray NY as being some evil place where you get mugged all the time. What I thought was awesome, was the scene at the end of Spider-Man when some guy yells to the villain "if you mess with one of us, you mess with all of us." It really showed a level of community.

My favorite movie of all time is Star Wars. But I don't own it on Blu-ray because I'm waiting for a proper release. I hate all the Lucas edits done. I have it on DVD, the unaltered theatrical version is included on a bonus disc of the DVD.

I hate and love it.
Hate it when they obviously use a place that isn't new york. Recent episode of Forever when they were on "Long Island" and Great Gatsby remake.
Love it when it really is filmed here. The upcoming DareDevil and the original Great Gatsby.

Marvel has better superheroes, but DC has my favorite; Batman. So it's hard to say which I like more.

Hijacking this question...
DC had the better movies in the 70's & 80's.
Marvel had the better TV Shows in the 70's and 80's
90's animated, neither could do wrong, but Marvel had more and better variety.
2000's - Marvel animated and movies
2010's - marvel

I rarely ever read DC books.
I'm a Marvel comic reader.... though that it about to stop at the end of Secret Wars.

Actually released by Marvel, or just has Marvel characters in it? The Wolverine was good, but that's a Fox release.

For an actual Marvel relase, I'll say The Avengers.

I meant actual release so that's cool, I got your answer to it

What was the last movie you saw at the cinema recently?

I haven't been to the cinema in a while, the last movie I saw was Iron Man 3.

I mostly just wait for the movie to come to HBO or other cable/streaming service. On occasion, I'll just buy it on Blu-ray without seeing it beforehand. But I always check reviews on YouTube and other sources to know if it's good or not.

I used to go to the cinema at least once a week, but that seems like a lifetime ago now. Things have changed too much. People are ruder, floors are dirtier, tickets are pricier, and the overall quality seems to be going down. (rips in the screen not being fixed, etc.)
