Started watching this show on Hulu the other day. I haven't seen it since it's run during the 80s/90s (TGIF was my favorite time of the week as a kid). I just have to say: that theme song is pretty rad.

Yeah, some showrunners weren't as paranoid about money, realizing you had to spend first in order to save in the long run.

The good old days, when shows actually had theme songs instead of being cut to allow for more ridiculous commercials.

To me, what we see of Bronson and Mark only makes the show's song even better. I love Bronson's Balki smile and seeing him in his Mypos monkey suit at the end.

God bless you and him and Mark always!!!

Holly

P.S. I love seeing them run though the park and off to the baseball game and while I love watching them play with the revolving door, I can't help but wonder why they do that at all when we never see them use a revolving door anywhere during the show. Their jobs were in the basement of the Chronicle building and the impression that I have is that where they would leave and come in where Larry's desk was would lead them to the parking garage where Balki's car was waiting for them after he bought it.

80s sitcoms rarely stand the test of time imo.

...Perfect Strangers is no exception.

CHEERS, FAMILY TIES, ROSEANNE, THE GOLDEN GIRLS, NIGHT COURT and NEWHART scoff at you. They scoff, I say! By the way, if you can get through the "Disorderly Orderlies" or "Car Wars" episodes of PERFECT STRANGERS without pissing yourself laughing, you're dead.

For the last several months I've often been leaving my TV on Hallmark Channel in the evening when reruns of The Golden Girls are on, and I find myself cracking up so much. I'd forgotten how hilarious it was and just how savage those ladies could be.

I wish that the final DVD included behind the scenes coverage since it is the rest of the show and all, but I am not going to hold my breath since the other DVDs don't have any.

God bless you always!!!

GREAT theme song. I watched it every week as a kid, but can't remember a damn thing about it minus the theme song.

I'd say Married with Children would probably be the best, but I guess most people consider that a 90's sitcom, even though it started in '87.

I despise that one, personally, so itís absence from my list has less to do with its vintage and more to do with the fact that it routinely confused crassness for wit.

For a show that is over 33 years old, it still makes me laugh. (Watched this in 86-93).

Someone made a Perfect Strangers website game.

Of that list, I never watched much of Newhart or Cheers as a kid, but the rest were on my sitcom list for sure. I later got worn out on Roseanne; it seemed after a while that they started repeating themselves.

My copy of the final DVD came today which I was not expecting with the post office being closed yesterday and all. I thought that Memorial Day was going to set me back and to where I would have to wait one more day, but its here and I now am off to go watch my beautiful and precious Balki/Bronson!

God bless you and him always!!!

God bless you always!!!

P.S. I wonder if Balki was able to take with him the painting that we see near the end of the season five episode named Poetry In Motion.
