Lightbulb Most Prized Slip Possession

I'm curious to see what everyone's most prized slipcover possession is. It can be prized due to value. Maybe aesthetics. Maybe uniqueness. And better yet, maybe a combination of all those. Let's make a few "rules" to make it fun...
  • You must own it!
  • You must post a pic! A picture's worth a thousand words and is especially true with slips.
  • You can post multiple times, of course, but let's limit one pic per post. Let the slip be the star of the show!
  • Everybody feel free to comment on the posts.

I actually thought long and hard on this. In the end, I probably picked the most cliche'd choice there is. But man, there's just something about the texture and simple yet apt presentation of this slip.

What's yours?!?

Haha my most prized slip(s) would have to be... the complete Walmart exclusive sets for Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy. Was really happy to get those. Know that's more than one but just popped to mind first.

Mine would probably have to be The Royal Wedding Set specially since I got B&tB slip for $1 in total I think I spent like $20 for this set of slips, I already had the movies of course.

Default Imported Slips

AAWIL is my favorite Horror/Comedy. I wasn't allowed to watch in the theatre but by the time I saw it on HBO as a youngster I was hooked. I didn't like the Gold AA slip (although I own) or the other "paw print" For me, my imported slips are special because I went waaaayyyy above & beyond to locate someone from whatever country of origin it's from and set up a deal. Not as easy as walking into a store or ordering from Amz. The expression of pain on David's face as he morphs, the background of the London skyline. I just love this UK import slip

I've been selling off my slipcovers recently so I dunno if I have that many left that are all that desirable, but off the top of my head, the Paramount 100th Anniversary slip for Beverly Hills Cop is probably the most "prized" or valuable, whatever. I also have the No Country for Old Men CE slip, the Incredible Hulk lenti (with green case), and Casino Royale CE.

(out of town at the moment or I'd take pics)

Good sets for sure; now you just gotta snap a pic of them together.

I never did complete the Paramount 100s. It just seemed at the time that they and Universal were going to release every movie that way and felt like they were getting watered down. I'm glad Paramount kinda stopped it after a while.

That might be the only one of those I own. It is indeed bad a$$! Oh, I do have the Golden Compass one as well. Memento would be another I would want if I happen to run across one.

Nah, you should give them away to posters of this thread.

I don't really have any grail slips. I suppose my mint Whiplash slip and my US Ghibli slips would be my favorites though.

Good idea, I'm going to try to remember to take pics of my Marvel Universe slip collection and my complete DC animated slips (which is probably my real answer for "most prized slips") and post them here. I didn't think of doing it because I couldn't narrow it down to just one!

That's the way to do it, the blue Avengers and yellow Iron Man 3 looks so much better with the remaining slips than the 3d versions because it was too much red, just a bizarre choice for Cap 2 when IM3D was already red. My shelf looks pretty similar, I have all the MCU slips and exclusives besides Thor '11 3D and Cap '11 3D, too many red spines! Will post pics soon.

I didn't like the blue Iron Man 3 slipcover at all and the yellow one looks so much cooler.

I was never collecting them, honestly. Just happened to find one for $5 used in mint condition so I snagged it, and sold the movie itself so I broke even. I've been trying to sell the slip for a while but it doesn't seem to get much attention, oh well.

Anyway, here's a pic of the top five. There are some others that might've made the cut, just not sure how desirable they really are (Whiplash, Dances With Wolves 20th Anniversary, Big Hero 6 BB exclusive, Winter Soldier slip with Nick Fury, Deer Hunter Universal 100th Anniversary). Sold off my Oblivion Target exclusive, Pacific Rim BB exclusive, and GotG Rocket Racoon slips recently, otherwise they'd easily have been in this pic.

I might like this collection version even more. Yeah, please keep it coming with the collections as well. I might have to dig up some collections I have that might be of interest.

I never really started, especially with how different stores had different titles. Wasn't worth it to drive around. Definitely not worth it to pay the absurd prices for them now. I think I have Major League and Ferris Bueller and that's it. Would've liked The Untouchables and The Italian Job, but oh well.

Oh that's right - forgot how some were at BBY and some at Walmart. I have most of them, but I know I'm missing a few.
