In the DVD days I always threw them out. Not really sure why. I like them on my Blus and 4ks but the lack of a slipcover doesn't make or break a purchase for me. If possible I will grab one with a slip though

I have a collectors mentality (I collect a billion different sorts of things, always have probably always will), but slipcovers are something I never really gave a second thought to, they are just "there" when I buy blu-rays. I do like it when they offer alternative art to the regular cover, but a lot don't and some of them actually have worse art on the slip than the regular cover!
But I did a quick count there and was surprised that 54 blu-rays I have had slips on them

What do slips tend to go for? Are some more desirable than others? I'm not asking to sell, just curious really.

Slips can go for quite a bit, especially Scream Factory or A24 films.

Most have the same image that's on the Blu-Ray/DVD's inner sleeve & they just take-up extra room. Some, in my opinion, are even worse than the inner sleeve. I see the appeal of the Steelbooks for some people (not a fan myself), but not the cardstock slipcovers.
Also, does anyone think/know if they add to the price we pay for a movie?
Slipcovers sure add to the price we pay for a Blu-ray, especially Boutique titles. Scream Factory slipcovers are highly collectible and sought after. Here's are some examples of some Scream Factory slipcovers sold on Ebay this month.
