I've got to say, the artwork on that steelbook is really nice. A cracking zombie movie as well of course.

From the listing:

“Exclusive new 4K restoration from the original 35mm camera negative”

Not UHD, but should still be a lot better.

smaller boutique label and a new restoration plus a steelbook, slip, booklet, etc... the price also includes shipping, it's really not out of line at all in my opinion

This movement of including soundtracks is what we've been needing for a long time.

Thinking about it, I would rather have 'Let Sleeping Corpses Lie' as the title of this one. It's closer to the original title which is pretty much 'Don't Speak Ill of the Dead'.

So it can make the 4k uhd single disc edition look cheap in 6 months.

Synapse is no Blue Underground. If this does get a UHD release, it most likely won't be for a couple years. It was 2 years between the steelbook release of Suspiria and the 4K so this might be a similar situation.

Synapse Films replied to questions about a possible UHD release on Facebook yesterday:

Quote:
They also take a long time to produce. SUSPIRIA’s UHD took an extra year because of all the additional work required. We currently have no plans to produce a UHD of MANCHESTER MORGUE.
