Tweet update to say that XSS will be $299.

Pretty great price if it includes the same SSD as XSX too.

So they're pretty much identical to the specs that were originally leaked.

It's about half as powerful as Series X and should cost half the price. It will make the perfect second console.

So does that mean MS is creating their own DLSS 2.0-like machine learning protocol? I wonder if it will require an internet connection to function, like the way Azure was supposed to improve calculations in Crackdown 3.

Still up in the air with my thoughts about S or X.

Iíd probably want X regardless of price. I could see myself getting the X & ďonlyĒ buying Gamepass.

Honestly thatís likely my plan as of now. Iíll get PS5 for the Sony exclusives while owning GamePass for everything on the Series X. Obviously not everything will be put on GamePass right away in terms of third party so Iíll just only be buying certain third party games that I want to play right away.

I may wait for Microsoft to merge Gold with Gamepass.

Might not happen at launch.

Gamepass ultimate already combines gold. Only downside do gamepass is that the rotation of games can be pretty quick. RDR2 for example has already been removed. Big games like that youd ideally have months and months to play.

Great. I'll flog my 1X to a colleague at work and buy the S, then pick up the X2 when they start coming out with next gen exclusives in about 2 years time.

Also, they can't even make the image 1080p/60fps? Wth is going on?

I think this new console should fail hard but only because they're scuffing what should be a generational leap.

As long as it's no more than £300 and has the same SSD speeds inside then it's going to be a nice option for a second console.

Just add gamepass and your good ro go.

Verified Halo Infinite insider says there is talk game could be delayed till 2022.
Considering dropping Xbox One consoles.
Game is Much worse than what we saw with assets not loading & Xbox One S is nowhere close to 1080p.

Let me get this straight. No disc drive,so no ability to play 4k movie discs. Already that's a huge downgrade from my current xbox one s that I use. Whats the point? I find it hilarious, that in the specs it says aims to be this generations xbox one s,yet it doesn't have a 4 k disc drive.

Its sole purpose of existence is to be priced lower than the PS5 and presumably make money from each unit sold which it looks like the Series X wont be doing at launch.

It is a very curious piece of hardware that I wish MS would hurry up and announce.

Am I the only one who’s concerned that we can’t expend our Series X storage? All they will have available is a 1TB memory card. Yeah we can put games on an external hard drive but we have to keep moving it back and forth to the console. I want to be able to play them without any issues. Both Sony and Microsoft using SSD’s is BS. They did that so we would be stuck with 1TB. I have a 5TB for my Xbox and I’ve used up 48% of it.
