USA Eight is Enough (Warner Archive)

Did think there was an existing thread for the Warner Archive Collection DVD sets of drama series Eight is Enough. Have done a thread search and there's no existing thread.

Have a few questions:

- Is the original physical media DVD release of the first season out-of-print? Was it originally released by Warner Home Video or the Warner Archive Collection? I've checked Deep Discount and the WbShop's website, and can only see a recent re-release of the first season.

- Are the episodes in each of the five seasons remastered, and do they end with original closing logos?
- Were there any feature-length episodes in the series?
- Have the two post-series TV films had physical media DVD releases?

Deep Discount's search results page for Eight is Enough is a bit confusing. It's because the second, third and fourth seaasons were each released by the WAC as half-season volumes packaged together (the fifth and final season is one manufactured-on-demand DVD set).

I don't know the answers to some of these questions (I don't have any of the sets you've mentioned in particular, but this is what I could find):

From my experience with WAC reissues of WHV DVDs, they are 100% identical to the original release. So the pressed release of the first season and the MOD reissue should be the same.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by feature length episodes, but there are some episodes with two parts.

As far as I can find, the two TV movies you mentioned have not had any DVD releases or any releases otherwise.

I have the complete series, season one originally came in slipbox and was at B&M stores, Warner Home Video. I haven't watched them in a while, the ones I did watch did not have the Lorimar logo ending... The Christmas episode was feature length, but I don't remember if it is in 2 parts or not... I remember Warner Archive saying they were interested in releasing the movies, but did not have transfers of good enough quality.

Having looked at EpGuides and the IMDb, there were some episodes in two parts, but were both originally shown in the States on the same night. Sometimes this meant it was a feature-length episode.
