Fans should hunt down the episode that premiered tonight (now at 6:30 EST), titled "Battle Of The Superheroes" and featuring the Man of Steel himself, Superman. It was more a Superman cartoon for this one episode than Batman, though Batman does save the day in the end with his investigative work. A great homage to the 1950's World's Finest pairing, Superman and his entire cast of supporting characters looked great. That is the next show DC should make for kids today, a World's Finest series with both characters together.

There's some nice winks at the Superdickery stuff also. Including some of the infamous "Superman's A Dick" covers in animation.

Plus we got this hilarious exchange. Jimmy: "Superman's turned into a real di---." Lois: "Different person."

The dialogue was great. It was funny they showed Lois dreaming about being married to Superman with superkids, that was a common element in the 50s and 60s comics. Even the bottled city of Kandor got squeezed into the show.

I take it there's been no news of B:BatB on BD yet, but has WB released any of their other recent animated series' to Blu yet?

Just wanting to gauge if I should still hold out hope of BatB on BD, or if I should just accept that it's never going to happen...

Your hopes and desires have been answered...

I never thought it possible, but WB is going to release the first season of Batman: The Brave and the Bold to Blu-ray! No, it is not Batman: The Animated Series, but it still makes for excellent news and shows that Warner realizes the demand for animated Bat product on Blu-ray.

I already own the digital HDX copies found on VUDU for Brave and the Bold, the episodes look great in Hi-Def.
