Man Isolation was scary AF. I still haven't mustered the will to replay it on hard. Still looks gorgeous too! Its probably the best game from that year.

I really need to finish Isolation before I buy Blackout. I bought it on day 1 and I'm still too scared to finish it...

I always wanted to play Isolation but never got around to it. reading this thread makes me want to get it.

A VR version when be wonderful, agreed. I would pay it for sure then.

I love Aliens. Seeing Aliens in the theater for the first time when I was a kid was the single most scary thing I've ever experience in a movie theater. I doubt any movie will scare me as much as that did ever again. Glad I saw it when I was still young enough to be scared like that by a movie.

If you love Aliens then you will love Isolation, although it's more like Alien. Definitely buy it.

I found the second half of Isolation pretty much like Aliens (more action oriented)

Oh well, thread lock or move to another section i guess. Think this might have done well on consoles if they developed it properly for a console experience of Aliens horror.

Make it an augmented reality game like Pokemon Go, then it'd be interesting.

Apparently an online shooter is coming after.

https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2019/...ience-in-2019/

Quote:
This new information did offer a confirmation of another video game, though: "a massively multiplayer online shooter set in the Alien cinematic universe for consoles and PC." Development duties for that game are being handled by Cold Iron Studios, a studio wholly owned by 20th Century Fox, and the company has been publicly hiring for this game for some time. No release window or other details about that game were included in Monday's news.

So once Disney have Fox, it's dead, dead, dead? Right.

What a god damn joke. Tease people for month just to reveal a sh*tty mobile game. You'd think these morons would learn after Diablo Immortal, but nope.

Do people seriously play mobile games? I've never played a single one. I don't understand the appeal of playing games on your phone.

Unfortunately yes. An old friend of mine owns a studio that do games aimed at that market (+ tablets), and it is really big business.

Alien Isolation was a blast to play in 3D on PC. Such a shame they made the sequel a mobile game....
