More LG OLED Black Friday news... Starting today, Sunday, Nov. 12 - Dec. 1, 2017 the 55" and 65" C7P are on Black Friday sale for $1697 and $2697 respectfully.

We've enhanced LG's Black Friday deal by throwing in an additional year of warranty service at no charge so you get 2 years of in-home service.

Buyer beware on ^^ this offer.

It's listed on New Egg, but the seller is not New Egg and the third party seller is not an authorized LG dealer. They also charge a 15% restocking fee.

I don't think it's worth the $100 savings to take this risk.

Good authorized LG dealers have a 30 day replacement warranty at no charge.

Oh jeez, I didn't notice they had that link in there when I posted it! I thought it was just a run down of the official LG pricing!

Hmmm Very tempted on the B7A or C7....I have a Panasonic TC-PST30 that I would be replacing and doing the 65 inch version.

I could also wait until Super Bowl / Presidents day and probably not be upset about it. Any advice? Seems like a great price and I have been watching it for a while.

Will be running everything through an ATMOS system.

Correct, ^ but when you consider our 5% Rewards credit the actual difference is $90.

So, I imagine a C7 during the upcoming Superbowl sale in March(ish) might end up being around the same price of a B7 during this Black Friday.

Is 3 months of wait time worth the difference between the two models if one isn't in a hurry to make a purchase? Or are these BF sales going to be bigger than the Superbowl's and one should get a B7 now?

Thanks!

When the 2018 models get announced at CES, retailers will start wanting to move the 2017 models. If you can wait, you may want to do it, but then comes the dilemma of finding out what improvements are made to the 2018 models and waiting until the get to be more affordable (basically a year from now) if they are significant changes, or simply jump on a 2017 model now or around Superbowl. It would not surprise me if around the Superbowl we see a slightly lower price than they are now.

Not sure what size you are looking at but if you are in the market for the 55" I would think the C7 is the way to go over the B7, its only a $100 difference right now between the two. I believe the main difference is the C7 supports Dolby Atmos but I personally like the black bezel on the C7 over the silver one on the B7.

I've decided to upgrade to an LG OLED, but I won't be able to afford one until closer to Christmas. I hope there are still some deals after BF. If not, I guess I'll be waiting until the Super Bowl.

Been eyeing the B7 and C7 lately at BB, $2599 and $2699 with 24 months to pay it off no interest. Hmm... Think I would pay the $100 to get the Dolby Vision on the C7.

Just my opinion, some may agree, others may not. But if you can wait a bit longer, I would recommend it. The CES convention in Las Vegas is a few months away, at that we will see the new 2018 announcements from LG, Samsung, and everyone else. Hopefully even Panasonic announces a return to the U.S. market as well.

There are three great times to buy a television, Black Friday sales of course on of them, followed by Christmas, and then Super Bowl. If you wait until CES, you at least will know if the 2018 models will be worth waiting for. If the 2018 models don't offer anything special, and you decide to get a TV then instead of waiting until the Fall of next year when the 2018 models will be half the price as they are at the start of the year, I think you will find the 2017 models be even cheaper around January/February than they are now, especially since retailers will want to move older stock to make room for the new models.

My brother has the 55" C7 that he got around Halloween and is very pleased, he upgraded from one of the very early day plasma sets that was about 13 years old so it was quite a jump for him. One thing that he liked about the C7 over the B7 was the bezel around the TV. The C7's is black, the B7's is silver. I felt the silver was a bit of a distraction, the black was not. The E7 is clear glass as a bezel, and while nice, is not worth the extra money.

But again, just my two cents....

I am probably going to move next summer so I am going to wait until the Fall of next year before I do anything. My Panasonic 85U plasma is still going strong and while I do want to enjoy 4K movies and gaming, I am content with the 1080p world I have been used to for the time being.

You mean atmos? Both models have DV. And honestly the built in atmos on the c7 is pretty lousy. I used it a couple times to test it out before setting up my real atmos setup, and it ain't nothin to really want. Any decent soundbar will destroy it basically. The difference in stands for the c7 compared to b7a is totally worth it though if your not wall mounting. B7a kinda lame, c7 stand is like art.
