App Barcode Scan not working on 14 Pro

This happened to me on the iPhone 13Pro and it has gotten worse with the 14Pro. It is definitely using the wrong camera. The minimum focus distance is too far away to have the barcode in focus and be large enough to scan. I love this app and use it frequently. The barcode scan feature and batch upload is a crucial feature.

Same problem here. My 14 pro won’t scan or stays out of focus but my 12 pro works like a champ. Any ideas or fixes?

Same issue here too on iPhone 14 Pro…
Very disappointing and frustrating. This was one of the main and best feature of the app! When out and about I could just scan to check my collection or info. And of course cataloging my collection.
I agree with above that it uses the wrong camera. I wish even though it could scan or would be able to zoom in.
It Weber nice to get a response from the developers end.

I'm an iPhone 14 Pro Max user with the same issue. I upgraded from an iPhone X (which worked perfectly) and at first, I thought my new phone had a camera issue, but it worked fine with literally everything else. It looks like the app uses an outdated barcode reader (ZBar Barcode Reader), which was made for the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4, and was discontinued in 2012, so we're probably lucky it's been working for this long!

Same problem here. Switch from a iPhone 12 to 14 ProMax and the barcode scanner is Blurry as hell and won’t scan.

I just downloaded the app today and was looking forward to cataloging my collection, but I am also having the issue where it isn't scanning on a 14 Pro.

Didn't any find a fix for this?

It is not really a fix. But if you have a really bright light nearby. If you hold the movie next to it when scanning, it helps a little.

It would be nice for the updating to be on a separate thread so I don't have to sit there waiting for the db to update.

It’s not just the Pro - I have just the 14 Plus and it barely scans, and is about 50/50 getting an error/not found when it does. Luckily I have an ancient IPad that works like a charm. Hope this gets fixed.

iPhone 14 pro max here. I just discovered this awesome tool and want to load in my whole collection using the barcode... only I am having this same problem. I even tried mounting the phone exactly 3-4" with plenty of light and it seems to be using the wrong camera. Does the app have any kind of support/maintenance where we could open a bug? Or is there some workaround? For now I can just use an old phone I have to do the initial load in.

Same issue with my New 14 Pro. I've been suing my old 12 Pro Max. Maybe I'll try and post on the Apple App store, and they can work on a fix.

Can we get some type of official acknowledgement of the issue and if it is being looked at or is a lost cause? I'm having the issue as well after an upgrade to 14 Pro Max this weekend.
