Not sure what you mean. I'm in Canada, redeemed Baby Driver and Spiderman Homecoming to Sony Pictures (Sony is the only region-locked UV codes) and they ported to Vudu, then to Movies Anywhere and my US iTunes account.

Right, those are US accounts. We're talking about what would happen if Movies Anywhere came to Canada, and a way to share content between your US accounts (Google Play, Amazon, VUDU, US iTunes) and Canadian accounts (Flixster, CAN iTunes).
If you look at the graphic I posted you can see that UV was the bridge between the US and the hypothetical Canadian Movies Anywhere (once again, IF MA ever came to Canada). Since movies in MA now go to VUDU, but don't go to UV, the bridge between VUDU (US) and Flixster (CAN) through UV would be broken. |

Hello all: I tried creating a US iTunes account yesterday using the ‘no-credit-card’ method (i.e. sign out of CDN iTunes account in App Store, attempt to download free app, choose ‘create new Apple ID’) and it wouldn’t work. I filled out all the info, selected ‘none’ for the payment option, got the confirmation email, inputted the confirmation code... then got a pop-up indicating I’d have to contact Apple Support to complete the process and the Apple ID wasn’t created

I am really struggling getting an account created... I've tried TunnelBear and no dice... numerous other VPN serious and nothing... I even tried a VM I spun up in my Azure environment and all are met with the same stop trying to do this through a VPN or Proxy message.
I figured the VM would have worked for sure but they must have blacklist the whole Azure IP range... can't imagine there is something in my headers or user agent that is saying I'm coming from Canada... Anyway... anyone have any luck registering from Canada lately? I was in the states this week and was able to register. Back home in Canada now, added my US iTunes account to my AppleTV 4K and installed the Movies Anywhere app and I can stream my movies again. I'm only getting 2 channel sound though at the moment through MoviesAnywhere, need to look into that. Last edited by roar; 01-26-2018 at 06:14 PM. |

So, we're reaching the point that Canadian codes are going to be useless until Movies Anywhere gets here.
Given that Flixster barely functions in Canada, there isn't a viable option for Canadians anymore for most codes. |

Then I'm glad Disney owns Movies Anywhere.
Of course, on the other hand Disney never did bring their studio-exclusive service to Canada. But somehow I've gotten the (perhaps naive) impression that Disney hasn't forgotten about us up here in the Great White North. Before KeyChest, Canada was supported in watching movies online from their site. Perhaps DMA was too conservative an endeavour to consider international rollout, but MA isn't. A boy can dream, anyway. And if everyone screws us...well, at the very least then they should no longer scratch their heads at Canada being a source of massive piracy. |

This either means Movies Anywhere is imminent for Canada or we’re screwed... and I think it’s the latter. Disney could have given us DMA anytime as they hold all their distribution rights and still didn’t brng it to Canada. If you want 4K just buy it from iTunes when they go on sale. The code market has been brutal in the forum and I hardly go in there unless there is an eOne code I want.

Nice to read some comments in this post again even though none of it is promising... Misery loves company I guess
![]() I was able to register for Movies Anywhere when I was in the states recently and get my Vudu/US iTunes/Canadian Google accounts all synced up but now when I add new movies back in Canada they aren't coming across and Movies Anywhere's region blocking is on point. Anyone using any services that are working for them? Last edited by roar; 02-28-2018 at 05:42 PM. |

I just logged into moviesanywhere.com and it is telling me that I have my iTunes account attached... but it doesn't tell me which one, I do have a US one. I must have things messed up in my head... the movies in the moviesanwhere app I believe are the ones from my UV locker I don't think I'm seeing my Canadian iTunes movies in there... we will chalk this up to user error. |

I bet you I have my AppleTV at home hooked up to my US iTunes account which is what made me think I was getting my Canadian iTunes content in my MA account. |

Interesting. Good to know it doesn't go both ways, thank you. I've been pleased that signing up with MA has meant that I can access my UV titles via Canadian YouTube (i.e. I finally have *some* method of accessing my UV titles directly on the Apple TV), but not so pleased that I wouldn't still prefer iTunes over Google Play when both options are available to me. All the more reason to maintain that preference I suppose.
