VPN we use expressvpn.com (this is a pay VPN)
Tunnel Bear is another VPN that we know works
Select or Use a VPN that you feel comfortable redeeming with
HOLA WILL NOT WORK WITH GOOGLE PLAY

So if you’re in Canada, and you want the code to port to iTunes, only paramount, universal, Disney, e-one, elevation codes and possibly Sony as of last week, will actually populate in iTunes. The MA codes will only go into an American iTunes account. Canadian Fox codes will not port to MA , just google play.

Can I enter MA codes into my MA account through a browser from Canada? I can log into my account and see my library and there is a redeem section. I’m not sure if it’s GEO locked or not?

Last night I loaded up my MA account details onto my dads Amazon TV box just to try it out and it loaded the entire collection and streamed just fine. Haven't tested this on any other devices.

Once the account is created, you can log in without a VPN or any kind of workaround.

I wonder if you guys can help me clarify what I can redeem the digital codes here in Canada.

My cousin in the US helped me set up a Movies Anywhere and Vudu account. I linked my Movies Anywhere account with my US iTunes account and the new Vudu account. My UV (Ultraviolet) account that's going offline is linked to my new Vudu account. My MA account library now has both of my iTunes US and Vudu libraries.

Here are my questions:
1) Can I link my Canadian Google Play to my Movies Anywhere account?
2) Can I play Vudu Movies and TV shows from my AppleTV app here in Canada or is it geoblocked?
3) Can I link my Canadian Prime Video to my MA account?
4) Can someone be kind enough to give me a rundown of which retailers to use to redeem the digital movies from the different studios here in Canada and which one are available to transfer to MA?

1- yes, any eligible code will port to your ma account. In Canada fox codes will not port into ma. You can redeem directly in ma, iTunes usa or Vudu and it's will port to gp Canada( no Paramount mgm and Lionsgate)

2. Vudu is harder than apple. If you really want to use Vudu I suggest you subscribe to getflix(VPN working well with Vudu)

What about the eOne digital ones? I have John Wick 1 and 2.

Also for my TV shows that were in UV, I'm hoping that they transferred over to Vudu but I'm not sure since I can't check from Canada and I need a VPN.

Eone Canadian code = iTunes canada

The best way to do this is : create a second iTunes account in Canada country. Really easy to switch between account in apple tv 4k.

Tv show will port to your Vudu account if they have uv tag. Remember you must do it before the end of July.

Quick observations about the whole process:
- They really don't make it easy for you to redeem the digital access to the movies. I guess that's to be expected with different studios trying to come up with their own ecosystem to extract more money from us.

- MA is a great start but the syncing to the library is painful plus I don't know if I'm doing it wrong but I wasn't able to redeem most of the movies directly from MA. For example: Justice League, Wonder Woman and most of WB, I had to go through Flixter to redeem them. It was ported over in my UV library but it hasn't been ported over to MA yet. Will it transfer over to MA?
I redeemed Spider-Man: Homecoming from the Sony website and is indicated on my UV library but it also has not been transferred to my MA library.

- What's the best way to get a 4K digital file for Disney/Marvel/Star Wars movies here in Canada? Do I have to go to their redeemdigitalmovie.com site and transfer from them? Any advice?

There is no legal way to get 4k digital stream in Canada for Disney Movies. Also, I haven’t had any flixter movies transfer to vudu even though my accounts are linked. I redeemed Annabelle Creation and it’s just in flixter.

Yes it's ported to moviesanywhere. This way : flixster ------> vudu ----->ma.
Unless the uv code is not ma ( aka lionsgate, mgm and paramount)

Disney no 4k code will redeem in canada. Only way, purchase an 4k code from usa member and watch it on vudu. Getflix is a vpn working with vudu.


Also, I found a way to load my usa itunes from canada without crossing the border. Amazon.com sell usa e-gift card itunes. You simply send it to your own email. The only downside is : lost the discounted itunes gift cards at retailers( staples, bestbuy etc...) when they have the promo in the states. Anyway, cheaper going on amazon.com, no fuel, no eating at the restaurants etc... lol Finally, don t forget using a conversion free credit card like rogers bank mastercard.

All titles you will redeem in itunes will port to ma and google play. (participing studios)

I just want to confirm that as indicated by bessetmath, the Canadian WB, Sony and Universal digital movies will eventually port to MA by going from Flixster first, then to UV and then to Vudu. Wonder Woman, Justice League, Suicide Squad, Blade Runner 2049, F8, The Lego Batman Movie, Spider-Man Homecoming, Split, Despicable Me

However, I needed it to log into Vudu using the Hola Chrome extension for it to sync. It did not automatically show up on my MA account. I hope that helps for Canadians that were wondering about it.

It sucks that Canadian Google Play won't port to MA (Deadpool 2).
