with del toros success and hobbit coming why are some of his films such as mimic and devils backbone and chronos not being released for gods sake he just presented orphanage

This site isn't a definitive source of information, as there are no sources listed and we have no idea where this info is coming from in most cases. It sometimes pans out, so I check it out every now and then, but take the dates with a grain of salt until the studios officially announce things.

We never even had an anamorphic version so this will be a nice upgrade to be sure!

MIMIC was an audio tour-de-force. I welcome listening to it in lossless audio.

And what would you think about a "Director's Cut" for Mimic?
You know how the studio messed up GDT's 1st english movie. Back then he had not enough power to impose his own artistic decisions over the mind of the $tudio executive$

I wish I'd see a director's cut with some scenes that GDT had to leave behind in order to see Mimic released.

However I think that's wishful thinking

Despite the fact that so far we got many Blu-ray releases of the film that they include the Director's Cut version of the film, now we desperately need a 4K UHD release of the film to include both the Theatrical and the Director's Cut versions of the film. And especially next year for the film's 25th anniversary, it would be an ideal release.
