What manga/light novel have you finished reading? Your thoughts?

This is the brother thread to the “What anime have you (bla bla bla)” thread. Same rules as that thread apply here but don’t expect traffic here to be as busy. Manwha’s are also free for discussion.

I’ll get the ball rolling I guess. I read the first volume of Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid at a bookstore a few days ago. Obliviously this came before the anime, so little things are different between both. For example, the manga starts with Tohru in her dragon form picking up Kobayashi from work and then transforming into her human form at her apartment while the anime just starts off with Tohru arriving at Kobayashi’s place for the first time (this happens a small bit later in the manga, Chapter 2 IIRC)

Otherwise, my thoughts on the manga are the same as the anime: adorable, hilarious and charmingly stupid. I really have to hand it to Kyoto, I doubt anyone else could have done a better job with the source material than them. I doubt i’ll be reading more of this in the near future as I got other stuff to read (and watch), but the first volume was a nice treat. 8 or 9 out of ten
