He’s Giant Gonzalez 2.0 and they’re lying to themselves by implying otherwise.

“Come get this work.”

Bro, get your behind to the Performance Center and put in this work.

Commentators are just doing their jobs. They're trying to sell the match. Nothing will make me care about this match. It may surprise me but I doubt it.

Giant Gonzalez is actually who I thought of, the match is going to be an absolute train wreck. Brock is laughing all the way to the bank though.

Loved the RR/Cody promo. RR's line that Cody started his own promotion he couldn't even get over in was great. Nice Cody finally brought up he was in the ring and not his dad or brother as well as him being a professional wrestler and proud of it too

Alexa Bliss has been competing on Masked Singer. She also had some skin cancer removed. She's cancer free now.

Andy Kaufman will be inducted into the Hall of Fame Class of 2023.
Quote:
"So Andy went to one of WWE’s shows in New York City and approached Vince McMahon Sr. with the idea of wrestling women out of the audience at an actual wrestling event. Andy felt like he wanted to get a crowd response from people that had actually come to see a wrestling show. My understanding is that Vince Sr. explained to Andy that, 'Our fans are skeptical anyway, and I’m hesitant to involve a Hollywood actor in our wrestling show. I don’t want people to think that all of our wrestlers are actors.' So, he kind of nicely gave Andy the brush-off...

It was the first time something like that had happened. I don’t know if I should tell this or not, but one night, I was flying back on the plane with Vince McMahon. And he said, 'You know, King, I’ve never told you this before, but I was so jealous when you got Andy Kaufman and did all that stuff with him down there in Memphis'

And this was the first time any big deal Hollywood star was involved to that extent in wrestling. Vince realized, everybody realized, because it got so much national exposure. Everything back then was still regionalized. Cable TV hadn’t hit yet. The country was divided up into wrestling territories because of TV coverage. Once Vince saw you could use a Hollywood star to get that nationwide exposure, here comes Cyndi Lauper with Captain Lou and Wendi Richter, and then Mr. T gets brought in. The ball got rolling, and it hasn’t stopped to this day. Just in the past year, Hugh Jackman was in there punching Dolph Ziggler."

There would be no Wrestlemania without Andy Kaufman.

I guess it's possible he was the inspiration behind getting celebrities involved. The wrestling though...Starrcade was in 1983.

As a casual fan i have to say this wrestlemania lineup is mids to say the least.... How they will be able to fill two nights with what they have going right now will be a challenge for them.

Least amount of star power they've ever had in this company. Seems like they should reduce time rather than add on.

The world erupted in unison when a father struck his son

The slow buildup for that match has been fantastic. All the way from Clash at the Castle, much like Edge and Balor.

People are saying Rey’s done after Mania, but I think he’s hanging on for a while longer. Supposedly he’s already slipped that he’s going to be at Puerto Rico for Backlash in May. So maybe a follow up match with Dom or a tag match.

See now I haven't cared about this build at all. Any time Dom got the mic he's just so damn monotone spouting the same stuff over and over because there's no crowd reaction. How many times can you say "just walk away like you always did" and "you're a deadbeat?" He'd return to that anytime he forgot his bullet points.

In retrospect, I do wish they went a little more in depth with the family dynamic. Specifically, have Dom put some blame on his sister Aalyah for getting the attention that he felt he deserved whenever Rey came home from touring all year. Bit of sibling jealousy and all that. Then for the actual moment when Rey finally snaps and agrees to the match, it’s because Aalyah is in attendance and Dominik slaps his sister (or his mother), giving Rey no other choice but to put his family first.

Fantasy booking aside, I enjoyed the direction that HHH went in. Kinda wish Rey didn’t b***h out every week lol, but we had to get to this point somehow.

I was just looking at the card for Wrestlemania 29 seeing as it was 10 years ago, and even thought there was more star power, a couple of the matches were a bit shit.

I mean, Fandango defeated Chris Jericho? Yikes.

Alberto Del Rio and Jack Swagger for the world title? Oh man.

I thought the buildup to Rey vs. Dominika was perfect. Dominika just had to find the right button to push and he finally did. Now...he's thinking be careful what you wish for.
