It's a hardware mod right? Is it easy to install if you have no prior experience with soldering?

Its a hardware mod plus it requires modded firmware (that's the easy bit). Do not attempt to install the mod yourself if you have no soldering experience. Any decent electrical repair service should be able to install it for you. Its only 6 wires to connect - download the installation manual so you can show it to someone to see if they can do it. Anyone in the business of TV/radio repairs should be able to.

Anyone have any luck getting Kelly + Victor B-locked disc to work on the UB-820?
Or Love 3D working? (I've only been able to get the 2D version to play).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I recently picked up a Panasonic DMP-BD75 super cheap from a thrift store. When checking for firmware updates, I noticed that Panasonic asks if you are in Zone A, B, or C. I'm in Zone A and wondering what would happen if I installed Zone B firmware. Would the player become Zone B? Would I brick the player? Anyone have any idea?

EDIT: Well, nevermind. Trying out the top menu trick, I've managed to play a smattering of Zone B discs from Eureka and Arrow. Despite having old firmware, the player is also having no issues playing recent region free releases from Indicator and Imprint. In fact, I haven't yet found a disc that won't play... and it's easier to do the top menu trick than to change regions on my OPPO BDP-103! I'm sure glad I picked up this older unit as it's going to be a great backup player that is essentially region free!

Yeah, the top menu trick is pretty consistent with boutique labels, but when it comes to the big studio releases such as Lionsgate, Paramount or Sony, it's not gonna budge.
