I will say the floating glass in ‘The Bubble’. It floats out of the screen for no good reason but it looks fantastic.

From the movie, Beowulf, there is a scene on a beach where a horseman points a spear at Beowulf but it's in first person pov as if you were Beowulf and the spear extend very close to your face. The next shot is a side view of Beowulf that shows the spear right in his face.
Awesome!

Also one of my favorite scenes! Beowulf is full fantastic pop outs!

Another favorite 3D scene of mine is in Avatar because I still haven't decided whether or not they meant to do it. There is a scene where Sam Worthington's character is looking at some photographs and the photographs are also in 3D.

Hey all,

Surprised I didn't think of this before. Any scene from the top of the late Twin Towers in "The Walk".

My favorite, and it will be hard to beat, IMO is Thunder's journey through the attic in "Thunder and the House of Magic".

I thoroughly enjoyed that film. The 3D was astounding as you say.

Here's a couple I enjoy off the top of my head:

How To Train Your Dragon (1) Scene where Hiccup rides Toothless for the First Time.

From Tangled:
Scene where Flynn Rider climbs down the tower and Rapunzel lets down her hair (and then slides down it) and
Sings "When Will My Life Begin (Reprise)", Lantern Scene, Dam-Bursting Scene from Tangled.

Opening Buzz Lightyear Space Sequence from Toy Story 2,

Part of Your World Song/Sequence from Little Mermaid,

IMAX Scenes from Thor Ragnarok and Black Panther, Guradians 1 and 2,

All of Doctor Strange.

Battle in Times Square from Ghostbusters: Answer the Call

Most of Titanic (1997)

The Walk is a really good movie but I have such a bad fear of heights that it turns the second half into a 4D experience for me.

Hi br,

Exactly why I chose it. I'm scared of heights too and if a 3D scene is so realistic it causes one to forget they're sitting on a living room couch and in need of a brown paper bag, then that's all one needs.

Jaws 3-D- fish head, main title and severed arm
Man in the Dark- the operation scene.
Sharks- the cameraman floats through a bunch of jellyfish. Sometimes I'll sit close to the tv and it really feels like jellyfish are floating past your head.
Journey to the Center of the Earth- pretty much from the mine cart scene until they discover the glow birds but there's so much fun 3-D in this movie.

The mountain biking scene at the start of Point Break looks great in 3D. I think it is at the start; it has been awhile.

My favorite 3D demos:
#1 (by far): The Walk, Chapter 14, 12 minutes
#2: Final Destination 5, Chapter 2, 9 minutes (the bridge collapse)
#3: The Great Wall, Chapter 4, 8 minutes (especially the women diving off the wall)
#4: Zootopia: Disney logo + Chapter 4, 3 minutes (train into Zootopia with Shakira music)
#5: Need for Speed, Chapter 14, 6 minutes (canyonlands near Moab, especially hanging from the helicopter)

Hi Damon,

Read up that the 3D is fabulous in Point Break but the movie itself was mediocre.

What's your assessment since I have avoided purchasing it for that reason.

My favorite scene from my favorite RE movie, also one of my favorite 3D movies.

I wish Anderson would have made The Final Chapter in the same style as Afterlife (and Retribution). These stylized slow mo action scenes are so much better and more beautiful than the hyper fast editing used in Final Chapter, and it also serves for a much better 3D presentation.

It was mediocre but, and please don't take offense, with you owning well over 400 3D blurays, it would not be near the bottom of your pile quality-wise.

It was, after all, a remake of a mediocre film but the 3D is quite good. The scene I'm thinking of might affect you in the same way "The Walk" did. Look for a sale and buy it.
