Anyone had any issues with the Godzilla 4K disc? Mine froze up twice while watching it in our Sony XP 800. It completely froze and had to be unplugged both times. First disc I have had problems with in the Sony

Contacted Amazon, they gave me three options, return and replace, return and refund, keep and get $10 voucher. I asked to return and refund, they told me just to keep it and refunded the $20 aswell. Wonder if my player needs an update or something?

The EAN and Amazon ASIN for Jackass are both incorrect and use the Hobbit's details. I can't find any details for that exclusive disc version though, so I can't fix it.

I've removed the EAN and ASIN from the entry so it doesn't link incorrectly.

Thanks, I didn't think of doing that.

Amazon Australia to open to NZ next month?!

https://i.stuff.co.nz/business/11336...wis-next-month

Has a bit of an underbelly in the article though.... Claims that the USA site will redirect to the AU site... Uh oh.

Well that's a bit shit if they do. Hopefully we can still use the UK one. I'm not overly phased since the postage rates from Ammy US make ordering from them a bit of a gyp unless you get at least 3 or 4 bargain-priced items at once.

I'm honestly delighted at finally being able to get in on the Aussie sales. So it's great news on that front. But yeah if it comes at the cost of not being able to access any of the European and UK sites... yeah, that'd be a serious problem. (here's hoping nothing like that actually happens)

A GIVEN.

Been having a discussion on Whirlpool re Amazon - the US / OZ links etc... but it's a losing battle on there.. more so on the issue that SOME items are able to be purchased via the US store via the 'Buy at Amazon.com.au' link... that works for a some.. and not for others....

I guess you will be locked out... like us... no more UK, Japan, Germany, France... and that still SUCKS.

We are still screwed over.

ugh, I hope not. I spend a lot at their Germany site each year. Ditto for the UK and Spain.

guess if they do lock us out I'll turn to eBay... or more likely, cough up the extra costs for using freight forwarders like Youshop. Not ideal but I ain't living without access to all those Germany-exclusive imports

Here's something to hang on to though, from the article -

Quote:
Opening the fulfillment centres up to New Zealander consumers would not restrict Kiwis to only buying goods that Amazon stocked in Australia, but would mean "shorter shipping times for sure, compared to the US", Conway said.
However it goes, I'm going to try buying all the back catalog stuff I want before next month in case it all gets shut off.

Going by that, we'll probably be ok until our own "Amazon tax" kicks in...

Every single sci-fi fan and space buff across the world is hoping it's just one thing...

Researchers have just discovered that thereís something solid buried 180 miles beneath the moonís surface Ö and, itís huge. Itís estimated to weigh 4.8 quintillion pounds (thatís 17 zeroes), which is roughly 350 million times as heavy as the Great Pyramid of Giza.

mate, you can't have the cake and eat it also, in other words, if you get the access to aus amazon, it is going to come at a cost to the other amazons like UK and other ones which australians are currently Locked Out Of the same thing is going to happen across the pacific, when you gst is introduced in October. Amazon UK etc will become unavailable like in aus already. Not a good look if New Zealand gets access to aus amazon but is still able to use uk/japan germany etc as well, even with a gst online purchase.
