Has anybody else watched it yet?? What were your opinions of the video quality? I am not a blu ray tech guy. I'd like to know if it would be worth my while to try another copy of the blu ray or if this is the best I'll get.

it definitely has the look of consistently soft focus interior scenes for most actors

no reviews here for most of these titles huh? seems odd.

edit: oh i see they are listed under the collection, not the individual titles themselves. still odd.

3.5 for Miller's Crossing, the film itself. lol, yeah.

I am thinking of pulling the trigger on this, especially with the B&N deal going on.

This would be a blind buy, but I own and enjoy Fargo, No Country for Old Men, and True Grit. What do you think?

My copy of this set is set to arrive today from Amazon! It's a long time coming that these great films get the bluray treatment.

What are echo cases? Can someone take a pic of this set?

Eco cases are made from recycled sources, meaning the packaging is probably done sort of cardboard stock. Sorry I don't have a photo.

Eco cases use a considerable percentage less plastic in the case itself, usually manifesting itself in the forms of a cut-out "recycle" logo in the plastic on the front cover side, and less plastic around the disc-spindle area. Lots of folks hate them for their "flimsiness" and that they make the cover art more prone to damage, as opposed to standard blu ray cases, which of course are amongst the sturdiest things on earth.

Looks like the individual movies are packaged individually in the regular plastic bluray cases.

Just bought the collection and was surprised at how good Raising Arizona looked. Compared to the horrible non-anamorphic dvd transfer, it's nothing short of a revelation!

Both "Shooting Miller's Crossing" and "Interview Soundbites" have English subtitles.

It had been a very long time since I last watched this movie; well worth the wait.

The subtitles on Miller's Crossing are very annoying. They condense the dialogue, replace character names by pronouns and even erase entire sentences. Whoever did them must've had their head up their butt. The dialogue is very important in that movie, and now the deaf are forced to watch it in a new, lighter form. A n00b job.

VERY film-like transfer. I could not be more pleased with the results. The picture is grainy as hell and sharp as a tack. The 5.1 upgrade has some really cool sounding moments as well.

+2! Stunning, flawless video with a powerful, thunderous audio track. Hell, there's not even a hint of gate weave--how often do you see that with a 24 year-old title, especially one this low budget?

No you are not. I am not immedaitly annoyed since I do not need the subtitles (at present), so I did not notice. But havng subtitles not reflect the actual dialogue is an abomination. Poor quality of work.
