Perhaps the Japanese version will also get a free update with the English language versions, if it happens please share.

Contra lineup.

Here’s the full lineup,

Contra (arcade)
Contra (NES)
Contra (Famicom)
Super Contra (arcade)
Super C (NES)
Operation C (Game Boy)
Contra 3: The Alien Wars (Super NES)
Contra: Hard Corps (Sega Genesis)
Probotector (Sega Mega Drive)
Super Probotector: Alien Rebels (Super NES)
Quote:
The Probotector games were specific to Europe and Australia, and replaced protagonists Bill Rizer and Lance Bean with robotic soldiers, RD-008 and RC-011. Probotector is based on Contra: Hard Corps, while Super Probotector: Alien Rebels is based on Contra 3: The Alien Wars.

IGN reports that the Japanese versions of six games in the collection will be released as part of a free update.

Keep it up, Konami. These have been great collections so far.

Really wish they would have issued physical releases for these collections.

Same. Even get the history books in a physical format. I would have paid $40 for these easily physical.

All three collections are now patched to include the Japanese variants.

Audio glitch from Castlevania has also been patched out. Finally other sites are reporting button mapping is now in the Contra Collection. Not sure if it's just that collection or not.

The Castlevania collection needs button mapping, as it gets annoying and can be confusing when whip/jump buttons are switched between the 8 bit and 16 bit games and you are going from one to the other (I like the 16 bit lay out more).

That's good news.

Nintendo needs to add button remapping to the NES games from their online service.

I’d rather them add purchase options for those games and include more generations. Honestly i would've been happy to purchase the NCM series as a game bundle for NS instead of a micro-console, they could even use that as a frontend to sell more games la carte (which kind of sounds like a bad pun).
