are you using a shielded phono cable with a ground wire? If not get one and make sure your ground is good to all equipment as well as phono stage wiring.

That was a fantastic upgrade ..............

What differences have you noticed and are you using the same cartridge ?

I have replaced my entire vinyl rig,table,phono stage,cart. The cart on this table is a Denon DL-301mkII. My old Debut Carbon has an Ortofon 2M Red with a 2M blue stylus. I have noticed much more detail,bass,and less noise, (crackles,and pops) with this cart more of the good stuff comes through.

This is the cable I use from my phono stage to my Marantz receiver;

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Doesn't mention ground wire? The phono cable from the TT to the Rega phono stage cannot be replaced as it is built into the Rega P1. So maybe, just maybe I need a phono cable with ground wire to the receiver?

The exact same cables/phono stage/TT worked perfectly at the shop.

Recently upgraded my table. I now have the new Rega P3 with the premounted Elys 2 cartridge. I'm running it through the phono input on my Marantz receiver to an SVS Prime setup (bookshelves, center, satellites and sub). Cartridge has about 50 hours on it.

I'm noticing that when I play CDs and whatnot through my Oppo, I get a much richer sound. I'm thinking that something is missing from my analog setup - either the cart isn't lush enough, or the phono input isn't that great. Anyone have any thoughts? Will double check the alignment. Tracking force is set to 1.75 using a digital scale.

The Elys 2 just sounds a bit lifeless to me. Everything is there, but it's not very engaging - just sort of ho hum. Thinking of changing to a Nagaoka MP-110. Also looking at something like the Schiit Mani or saving and getting a Parks Audio Budgie (I'm a tinker so tubes to adjust would be up my alley). Just wasn't sure if I'm missing something with the Elys 2 or if I should be looking at a better phono stage.

Recently my vintage turntable died leaving me with my cheapo Sony starter turntable. Finally got around to upgrading. I decided to go with an Orbit custom based on options and price and I couldn't be happier. Nothing crazy but sounds great compared to the Sony.

and here's my whole collection

You can add me to the list. I've had a turntable since I bought my first stereo in the mid 80's. I see you usually post what type of turntable etc. each member has. If that's necessary, forget about me. I'm not interested in sharing that info with strangers.
