Default Aspect ratio corrections and database edit rejections

Hi all,
I'm a bit of a stickler for exact aspect ratios whenever possible, so whenever I come across one in the database here that is wrong by more than .02, I usually prefer to submit a correction. My last such correction was rejected (more on the specifics in next paragraph). I've been digital screen capping for well over 20 years and I created the internet's first Movie Title Screens site in 1997 still online at http://shillpages.com/movies/ . My aspect ratios are actually measured/calculated using a tool I created as part of my own private database - I don't just guess or estimate. So my first question is, does Blu-ray.com have an unspecified/loose "tolerance" on aspect ratios (like my own "internal" tolerance of .02) that they will reject edits that are too close to what's on record already (such as if I submit a correction from 2.35 to 2.32) or anything like that? As I said, I'm a stickler and this matters to me, maybe it doesn't matter (or doesn't matter enough) to anyone else? Is it healthier for me to just not bother unless the listed aspect ratio is WAY off?

My rejected submission is for The Man Who Haunted Himself. The back cover states 1.85:1, the review and the database listing state the same. My measurement is 1.79:1, but my change was rejected. You can see with your own eyes looking at the site's own screen captures that it's not 1.85:1, there are very narrow black bars on the sides.

Comments welcome, even ones that tell me it's just a website, I should really just relax

Blu-ray.com has its own tool, written by the admins, for measuring ARs based on screenshots. That tool measures "The Man Who Haunted Himself" at 1.75:1. The reviewer may have been rushing and forgot to update it. It's been corrected. Thanks for pointing it out!

Given these are digital images and there are only a finite amount of fixed pixels, no special tool is required to measure the aspect ratio or the need for a tolerance. As MichaelR has stated, the aspect ratio is 1.75:1... how did you get 1.79:1?

Eep, misinformation...I was looking at my measurement for the DVD (which is 1.79:1) when I made my post.

My measurement for the Blu-ray (and I *think* although now I'm not so sure! when I submitted) is indeed 1.75:1. 1890x1080.
