Purchased the 4K version as well and quite pleased with it. There is some DNR present but not to the point it becomes distracting. This is no demo material transfer-wise, aside from showcasing the best US cinema has to offer in all other departments.

I'll still get it on disc when it gets a release.

Of course. It will be better on a disc. I don't trust anything from "iTunes".

Better on a disc and will be on a disc are two very different things.

Criterion hasn't upgraded Knife in the Water and Venus in Fur only has an OOP UK release on Blu-ray, the days of Roman Polanski is dying in English countries.

Your point? There’s plenty of titles that Criterion haven’t upgraded yet despite new HD masters and/or new restorations being done for years (“Pickup on South Street” and “Thieves Highway” being two notable examples).

But yet the US got “Bitter Moon” and “The Fearless Vampire Killers” this year.

I watched it today and it seems heavly DNRed for the most time. I read somewhere that 4K DCP is something else and it look great. Can someone seen both the iTunes and DCP and can confirm?
