Since Universal owns the release rights in the US, it probably won't happen here until they start supporting Blu-ray. It might be possible to get it in blu if it is released out of the states.

If it comes out overseas you can import it as long as it's region free.

I am fine with having them saved to my DVR in HD...just like the original Star Wars Trilogy....

I will add Batman Begins and then I won't have a need for HD DVD..

I too would love to see it on Blu-ray. It is one of my all time favs. I also have the trilogy box set on DVD so I could see upscaling working for me. I won't know until I buy a Blu-ray player
